[Emizel knew a strange thing was happening in his field by the swarm of butterflies in one area. Every so often something would move in the grass that would send most of them flying back into the air. It was about time to find out what was happening here.]

[And uh...It wasn't quite what Emizel thought it might be.]


Um, does this cat belong to anyone?

[It technically wasn't a cat, but a little kitten in his arms now. Not that Emizel really cared about the details so much. The fact of the matter is that it wasn't supposed to be here and he's pretty sure it wasn't wild.]

It somehow got over here..

[Despite the intruder being secured by their god now, the butterflies were still torn between wanting to see the kitten for themselves and also spooked by it. Who knows what sort of terrors it might bring. They will just have to keep hovering around it instead.]

[Adrien has been tearing up their temple looking forJoli literally everywhere. Even inside the piano which is dumb but yes he had checked there. As well as in the immediate area around the temple. Now he's getting ready to post about her on the BBS or whatever it is.

And that's when he finds Emizel's video and breathes a sigh of relief. He's flicking on his video. Adrien is smiling and the look on his face is nothing but relief - even if he himself is rumbled and disheveled.]

That little miss runway belongs to me. Well, I say me but my goddess and I would be more accurate. [Even if Joli tended to sleep burrowed against his neck sometimes.] I'll be more than happy to come get her. She must have chased your...[And that smile seems to fade a little.] butterflies.

[Well, that makes the mystery a lot easier to solve. Mostly.]

That would explain why they seem bothered... [It's kind of natural for cats to chase butterflies, right? No wonder they seemed afraid, even if the kitten was so small. And it probably is the reason why she's here now anyway.]

She must have wandered pretty far just to chase them.

She's a sweetheart really she just likes colorful things like ribbons and things that move. Likely why she followed the butterflies.

[This is true. He's not sure how fair this god's temple is from theirs but knowing Joli? She would run through the entire temple at her top speed if she heard the jingle of a bell from one of the ball toys.]

She's quite the litter adventurer it seems.

[These kittens are going to be the death of him.]

...She's not going away now at least.

[It's likely she has been outside for awhile then, and it is starting to get colder out. She was pretty content at the moment being snuggled by a tiny demon.]

I'll keep her inside while I wait then.

[Less chances for the kitten to cause trouble, maybe. Although his temple is not really equipped with cat related items so this should be...interesting.]

Thank goodness for that! I've been searching our temple and the grounds for her for hours.

[He'd been terribly worried about her and he'd dreading telling Marinette that she'd gotten out while she'd been working hard on beds for the kittens. To say he was relieved was an understatement.]

[True to his word Adrien is arriving a bit later to Emizel's temple. It had taken him a bit to find it on the map he'd gotten from.. some place. But here he is and he's got a small bag from their temple as a thank you gift in one hand and a soft small baby blanket in the other - it's white with multiple pastel colored dots on it.]

How in the heck did she get this far? I guess I should be glad she was found by someone nice who's willing to return her right, Plagg?

[At first it may appear he's speaking to himself as he's making his way toward the door but there's a small black creature perched on his shoulder. It has cat-like features; large ears, a long tail, a whisker on each side of it's face, bitty little fangs in his mouth and vivid green eyes with slitted-pupils.]

'I don't know, Kid. But Joli is fine and we'll get her back home before Marinette and Tikki even know she was ever out. I'm more concerned about all these butterflies.' [Though he hasn't seen any signs of akuma. He hasn't sensed any malevolent energy. And the likelihood of the butterfly miraculous coming here to someone not from their world? Slim to none. But it's his job to worry about his boy.]

Yeah, I um... I'm not their biggest fan either. [They put him a bit on edge if he was honest. No idea why but there it was. It was only the mostly dark ones though - talk about weird.]

Action!

[Emizel had successfully managed to get to his bedroom while juggling a kitten in his arms. Since the little thing apparently had a habit of running off, it made sense to keep it in one of the deepest parts of the temple right? Besides, it was also one of the comfiest place to be too, with a huge bed to play on. Emizel was only gone for a few minutes to get a bowl of water in case the kitten got thirsty. Had no toys for it to play with though...which was unfortunate. But he could just cuddle with it for now - even letting the kitten take a nap on his hoodie since it was currently warmer than the bed itself.]

[That is until Emizel felt a ping, a familiar one whenever somebody enters his temple that wasn't Viktor - he was easier to detect for separate reasons. For a moment Emizel was kind of...upset though, since it meant that the kitten was probably going to go back home soon. Well, he probably should go answer it anyway. Especially while the kitten was still asleep in his room.]

[The butterflies were also starting to gather again too, at least quite a few of them. They were still a little bit frazzled over the kitten showing up that they were taking even less chances with an unidentified shinki now. Not that they could do much of anything besides look intimidating, sort of? More likely than not they will scatter away if one of the visitors got too close.]

That's enough. He's only here to pick up the cat.

[Emizel recognized Adrien from the post earlier so there was no mistaking that. Seemingly understanding the demon's words, the butterflies began to fall back. Only a couple were still watching intently.]

[Adrien might look a bit antsy when Emizel finds him swarmed by butterflies. And Plagg? Well Plagg is hissing loudly from Adrien's shoulder. The blond is gently reaching to try and calm the cat-god.]

Easy. I know they kind of weird me out a bit, too. But they're harmless. [Adrien might want to catch them all though.

Plagg snorts, annoyed because he can't tell Adrien that not all butterfly are harmless.

Seeing Emizel and having the butterflies back off, Adrien and Plagg seem to relax. Adrien moves forward.]

You must be Thanatos. [Way to go Adrien state the obvious. Then he's holding out the bad from the temple. Adrien had stuffed it with extra pastries and cookies.]

I brought these for you as a thank you and apology for Joli. I'm sorry for any trouble she might have given you.

ACTION

Just guess who happened to be in the field with his god and the butterfly children. Because if you guessed Viktor, you'd be correct. He loved cats, Bastet having been his previous god, and was currently cooing at her and the winged babies in turn as Emizel made his post.

"May I hold her?"

Because yes, even if she belonged to someone, she was just a baby and he'd care for her until they figured out what to do with her.

"You'll have to find someplace else to sit for awhile, babies. You can stay if you like, but she'll probably try to catch you and that won't be any fun!"

And that, of course, was to the butterflies currently resting on him.

"Sure....her owner should be over here soon."

Sure enough, as Emizel offered the kitten over the butterflies got nervous again, with some of them scattering away. Honestly... Emizel has never seen them so worked up before. It's just a kitten...

Although, if anything their reactions were kind of funny to watch.

Once the kitten was out of Emizel's hands the butterflies near him settle down, some even immediately went back to landing on him when he went to messing with his phone. Situation normal.

It might be just a kitten, but they had sharp teeth and claws! Tiny ones, but butterflies didn't exactly have defense mechanisms other than escape, so Viktor couldn't exactly blame the ones that got agitated and flew from his shoulders when he took the kitten.

He, however, was more than happy for the trade. The kitten was tiny and adorable, and he'd really missed holding and caring for cats since Yuri had left.

"I'm glad she has a place to go."

He did wish she could stay with them, but he could never take someone's pet from them. The very idea made him sad.

Being kitten free certainly helped with getting the last details typed out so that Adrien knew where to pick the kitten up. Emizel was able to send it off rather quickly now.

"I'm more amazed that a kitten was able to wander the Heavens so easily," isn't this place supposed to be pretty dangerous too? More than the Human World is he could imagine. It must have traveled really far too. Poor thing must be tired.

"...Could bring her inside while we wait," Emizel looked up and could see that the butterflies were still just a little bit unease. "It's more comfortable in there anyway."

That is a kitten. I would be more concerned about where the mother might be. (Emizel, you are going to need a bottle and milk.) Do you need help?

[Cat, kitten, it's all the same...pretty much.]

[Still looking down at it unsure what to do next though.] Only if somebody doesn't come to pick it up soon.

(Cats can survive by themselves for the most part. Kittens...not so much.)

I will come to keep you company. They will need warmth at the very least.

[Well he's not going to leave it out there. Although after hearing that, he snuggled the kitten a little closer without hurting it.]

I was gonna bring it inside. It's kinda cold out.

(Good. Sansa grabs a cloak and fastens it around her shoulders as she speaks.)

You should. They are very fragile.

I don't know if I have anything for it to eat though... [Water, and blankets and other comfortable things he's got covered. Maybe that would be enough for now.]

[Goddess of children she may be, but Mai also had a soft spot for cats. The fact that it appeared to be a kitten didn't help matters any, and she had to hold back a soft coo as she leaned in, clearly admiring the little ball of fluff.]

What a cutie.

Have you managed to find their owner yet? Or their mother?

[Emizel has to try hard not to give in to the kitten's cuteness. He's supposed to be a strong and independent demon after all.]

Y-yeah, although...they are from a completely different temple. I'm not so sure how the kitten got all the way here.
