If you could choose between cheese popcorn and caramel popcorn, caramel would be the obvious winner, right?

Caramel is a nice crunchy glaze though. Chocolate's soft, messy... and it doesn't contrast the salt quite as well.

Sweet and salty together can work together sometimes. I feel like cheese would be too much if both caramel popcorn and cheese popcorn were mixed though

If I wanted that though, I'd go with the caramel popcorn with a sprinkle of sea salt while it's cooling..
