If you could choose between cheese popcorn and caramel popcorn, caramel would be the obvious winner, right?

I really don't understand him. It's not even like he's never eaten sweets. I put sweets in his mouth all the time! [...yeah.] He just grimaces and complains!

I wonder if it's a curse... or just an unfortunate quirk of biology. Whatever the case... It's a dark life. Like not being able to see the sun.

[Souji is right there with him. Sweets is one of the things that makes life worth living? Why does his God not appreciate this?]

He actually enjoys eating sour things more. He would actually choose some kind of pickle over mochi. [SHAKING HIS DANG HEAD.] He's so silly.

Food is good, no matter what it is, but if you had to choose one?

I have a lot of reasons to keep going, but I'm not even certain those are worth it compared to how big a reason that would be to NOT...

If I could, I'd honestly try to survive only on candy.

[Translation: If more responsible people didn't make him eat actual food at times, Souji would 100% attempt to live on candy alone.]

But even if that's not possible, to cut it out completely would be the saddest thing in the world. [He grins.] So I'll just keep feeding him candy until he realizes he's wrong.

You should try a more... subtle approach. Something that doesn't seem like it should be sweet. Ramp it up subtly. Then reveal it all at once!

[Souji would be so jealous. He's impressively good considering how skinny he is, but he still absolutely makes himself sick on the regular. And then tries to comfort himself by eating more candy.]

Thank you so much for your tactical advice. After all, I'm doing this for his own good. [Hesitating a moment here.] Also, where would I be likely to find caramel popcorn?

A lot of different stores in the Far Shore have some in big tins. Some of them even have three different types of popcorn in one tin...
