As gods and goddesses, should we expect live sacrifices? Depending on the culture, it seems a fairly regular practice.

If you witnessed such an offering, would you praise those responsible? Or would you punish them?

(He keeps this as text because he realizes his expression may not be...charming. But the thought is a little amusing. At least to him.)

Will you abide by what your deity stands for or branch out on your own?

I did not intend to shock anyone. If you have not thought of the possibility or witnessed the act personally, you are not accepting all of your role's aspects.

Animal sacrifices were once quite common in the faith Aditi belongs to, though it is a controversial issue these days. In many places, it's illegal. Should I praise my followers for sticking to ancient traditions, when they're defying the law of their land? What a deity stands for can often be rather contradictory.

Those are decisions you must make. Each choice dictates how you see your god, your followers and what sort of person you wish to be while you hold your lofty position.

is plenty of information on the
subject of the ancient Grecian period.
As for how, I don't have an answer
for other shinki, however... I don't
fear such a thing from my god.

I have no desire for them. I simply wondered over the possibility. (He tries to avoid people; he doesn't need them sacrificed to him! Actually the whole act makes him very uncomfortable considering what has happened to him.)

thats good to hear. i dont think sacrifices would do us much good anyway and you're a god so if your followers really follow you then they'll listen to your wish.

The real question is are you trying to fit into the mould of the god you're acting as, or are you making choices based on your own morals and beliefs.

I think forgetting my own beliefs would be disastrous. I was chosen for a reason to represent Asteria; if they are expecting an emotionless puppet, they will be disappointed.

Better to rely on your own interpretation. No one says you have to embrace all of the aspects of the god you're standing for. Don't hesitate to draw a line between what you're fine with and what you're not.

There are no rules set in stone of what gods must do and what they don't.

They have. Sacrifices were made for a variety of reasons: to ensure good crops, to ensure fertility, to soothe an angry god or goddess. (And there is no excuse for any of it in his opinion.)
