[Surprisingly, Goten’s name pops on the network, and at first, the video shows nothing but voices can be heard: Goten’s and a deeper voice that may sound familiar to some.

It’s not long before Goten notices the device and his face pops up, looking excited.]

Hey! Everybody! I found him! He’s still here! I found him, I found him! Look!

[The device bops with Goten’s bouncing as he moves it to show a familiar blond, practically shoving the camera into Izumo’s face.

Izumo looks at the camera, lifting a hand in a sort of wave.]

It seems I’ve caused a bit of a ruckus when I left, if what Goten told me is right. [A glance at Goten before he looks back at the camera, giving a smile.]

Sorry for that.

[Goten’s hair is practically the only thing viewable of him as he holds the camera more on Izumo like he’s going to disappear otherwise.]

You should invite everyone to your new place and make something yummy. I betcha they’d like that.

[Izumo chuckles, ruffling his hair.]

Right. Anyway, [He looks back at the camera.] for now, you can find me at my bar, Double Cross. I doubt I’ll end up disappearing anytime soon with Goten clinging onto me.

[Actually, there’s a bit of a pause and he has to look at Goten.]

My bar is still in one piece, right?

Uhhhm…..I dunno, I think Shizuo was pretty upset you were gone to…

[That doesn’t make it assuring.

Izumo sighs out and gives a nod to the camera.]

In any case, if anyone of you want to find me, I’ll be there. [And with that, the video ends.]

You'd try to fight him on the second day. [He knows how Mikoto can be, after all.

But at the explanation, Izumo slowly nods, trying to think about how much he can tell Shun about Eric. While it'd be good for another person to know, he still has some...hesitations, but for good reason.

There's a glance up the stairs to ensure Goten wouldn't be coming down any time soon and when he doesn't hear anything, he looks back at Shun.]

Eric used to belong to a gang before we took him in. As you might suspect, he wasn't treated the best - he often called himself a 'dog' because of how they treated him. The group he once belonged to hated us so they tried to use Eric to kill Mikoto and then tried to get him to kill Totsuka. [A pause as he looks at Shun, waiting to see if he should continue or not.]

[...Izumo's probably right about that, but Shun's not actually going to say it.

In any case, he's prepared to listen to as much as he has to about Eric. His expression when he does is somewhat pained, but not surprised - he'd gotten the impression from how Eric reacted to things that his past went a lot darker than even just being ordered to kill one person.]

So they sent him on a suicide mission. [There's no way they could've expected Eric to kill Mikoto, and killing Tatara would've just ended in the same thing. But all disgust in Shun's voice is reserved for the gang.] Scumbags. They'd better have paid for that.

[On the subject of dogs, there's something about Shun's manner reminiscent of a guard dog. Or maybe that's just that he's a little more overprotective of Eric than he's openly admitted here, or perhaps even realised himself.]

[There were a lot of things that’s happened that made Eric who he is, the same haunts that lingers even now.

Izumo is pleasantly surprised by the emotion that crosses Shun’s face, holding back a smile. It...is rather heartwarming to know that there re people here who genuinely cares for Eric, in a way that has been lost to him for a while now.

He gives a nod.]

They have. [“With their lives.”

Izumo pulls back a bit.] Since you’re close to Eric’s god, it seems, then you’re free to tell him this as well or send him my way if he wants to learn more. As you’ve said, that one memory of Eric may have made him regress a bit even. But I’m relieved to know he has good people watching over him.

Good. [Otherwise Shun would be seriously considering trying to find a way to do it himself once someone sorts out how the hell they're all getting here and back to their own worlds.

Shun was already planning to pass this on to Ren anyway, so he just nods a little.] I'll do both. I doubt he won't want to know more after hearing that, but trying to get answers out of Suoh is like pulling teeth, and I don't know if he's met Totsuka. But I know he'll want to look out for Eric as much as he can.

[Shun sounds sure of that much, at least. Ren's "teammates" are very important to him, after all.]

[He smiles a little strained a bit.]

Thank you for looking out for him, too, Kurosaki.

[Shun would make more of a remark on Izumo's strained smile if he didn't visibly pause at the thanks before huffing quietly and turning away.]

It's a normal thing to do. I don't care about sentiments. [And he's about done with what he wanted to talk to Izumo about for the moment anyway, so he's probably not just leaving because he was thanked.] If you want to repay it so badly then make sure Fubuki knows you're back.

Ah, I am getting kind of sentimental here.

[But it’s enough that it made you pause.

Izumo gives a nod.] I will.

So I see. [Then again, considering Shun thinks just a normal thanks is sentimental, the bar is set pretty low here.

That said, he sees no reason to hang around, and Izumo's probably got enough people to be dealing with as the day goes on. So with a slight incline of the head, he goes to take his leave.]
