[Hello, Far Shore!

Here's your resident redhaired librarian who greets everyone with a slight smile and a wave.]

Hey, everyone. I've noticed there's been quite a few people here who are either illiterate or mute [Selectively mute, anyway] so I've decided to find a way where it might be easier to communicate.

I'll be teaching sign language for anyone who's interested and I'm also offering to help anyone who would like to learn how to read. So far, these will be initially taught at the library or I can even do private tutoring sessions for anyone as well. If you also know people who are interested, spread the word.

And for those who doesn't know me yet, the name's Lavi.

It doesn't just help people who have trouble speaking - it can also help those who are deaf, too.

Oh! Because of not being able to hear, I understand. So if there is a language that can speak words with your hands, it can be useful even when two people do not speak the same language, yes? How very clever. I would be very interested in learning more about this. It might be very useful for a friend of mine, as well.

Ah, yes! [ She gives a warm smile. ] That's probably going to keep me busy first. But after that, I would be very interested.

And I hope if you have the time, you'll swing by, the invitation was open to everyone.
