It happened again. Two months with Ran. Not even that long with Lance. Sorry, Tlaloc to those who knew him.

[Or so Yoon assumes.]

None of my supplies are here. Keith is, though. I only found one book too.

I'm not sure why I haven't been automatically assigned this time... I made a choice the first time and that didn't help Ran out either.

[He turns the phone upwards, showing the Welcome Hall for new shinki.]

I thought maybe coming back here would help me figure things out. So far it's not doing anything.

[There's a sigh before he puts the camera back on himself.]

I wish there was a book about how to choose the right god.

[Yoon suddenly remembers how to mark things as Private, and he does so.]

Look, you don't have to hang around me if you don't like me, just tell me how you're going to get anything to eat if I don't cook it. Anyone else, even stealing it from the Far Shore, I don't care.

[Sorry Keith you're family now, so he's gonna need some reassurance to stop the nagging.]

[For a moment, Keith looks a little surprised, 'if you don't like me'? Is that what it sounds like?

At least with the private filter, Yoon can drag a little more honesty out of him, but it definitely is a case of dragging it out. Keith sighs a little bit, running a hand through his hair.]

It's not that, I just... [Just what?] Yona's your friend, you know?

[He's not gonna hang out at a stranger's house just to eat food.]

[Yoon looks completely shocked. Keith you idiot.]

You haven’t met her yet, have you? Give her 5 minutes and she’ll be your friend too. She’s just one of those people.

She has a huge temple too. A million rooms and hates when it’s empty.

Besides, I’m not even sure she’s a friend. She knows me from before. I just traveled a lot with her, so I might be like... some kind of ward she’s nice to.

It’s... it’d be fine, is what I’m saying.

[The absolute dumbest, for sure.

But dang that is a lot of information, and, really, he can't read it as much else besides a strong insistence that he should take Yoon's offer up. Give him a second to recover from all of that.]

I don't like the idea of feeling indebted for a stranger's hospitality. [But... maybe you did get him to relent a little bit,] I'll drop by for food when you make some, if I'm not busy.

[Well... Keith didn't respond to Yoon's suspicion that Keith didn't like him, so he chucks that concern out the window. Hospitality is a different thing entirely.

So Yoon just smiles, knowing he's basically won to get Keith to agree to that much.]

Great! I'll probably make dinner most every night and maybe lunches too, so be prepared to hear from me!

[Which is why he figured it would just be easier for Keith to stay with them, of course.]

[Sometimes you just have to claim the small victories where you can...! He replies to the proposed schedule with a small huff, more surprised that he'd hop on preparing so many meals rather than particularly annoyed by the idea.]

Like I said, if I'm not busy. [Not to sound like he'll be turning every meal down or anything, though. Don't be surprised if he turns an invitation or two or three down! He warned you!] And... let me know if there's anything you need in return.

[Being indebted to a not-stranger isn't much easier to swallow.]

[He waves it off on camera.]

I heard you the first time.

[Doesn't change that he'll be able to offer several times a day, several days a week.]

Probably the only thing I need anymore is--

[He thought about asking for kitchen utensils, but no that would actually be genuinely useful. He has a better idea for someone like Keith.]

Just show me a bit more how to use these phones. And maybe a ride sometime in your... not-pet.

[Both completely reasonable requests! Well done.]

Anywhere you specifically want to go, or just 'around' sometime?

[Yoon shrugs.]

I wouldn't even know where to begin, honestly? 'Around' is fine.

[That definitely makes it sound like it's a request made for the sake of a request, but... he won't fight it.]

Fine by me. It's faster than walking, so if you ever just want a ride somewhere, I can probably take care of it.

I can walk just fine, thank you!

[A tiny huff just to satisfy his pride.]

I've just... never been up in the clouds before. Even on one of those really tall buildings.

[Man if you don't want to get dropped off somewhere by a cool giant lion and impress all your friends, then that's on you.

The actual request sounds a little more meaningful to him, at least.]

Well, that should be easy enough. [A pause, then he adds,] It is a pretty stunning view, I'm sure you'll like it.

[Friends, right.]

I bet! I've studied so many maps that I know about what the geography should resemble, but to really see it...!!

[Okay so now he's back to excited. Thanks Keith, you're a pal.]

It's definitely different to experience it over imagining it.

[Well, at least that seems to have gotten Yoon in better spirits. That on it's own is kind of uplifting, despite the whole situation.]

I'm sure I'll be able to make time for it, whenever you feel like going.
