Video
From: Alan Humphries {Persephone)
When: After Sept. 3 but before This
[The video is opening on a shot of a sprawling flourishing garden, the focal point is a newly placed planter of flowers. Then Alan is turning the phone to himself as he moves to sit next to that same planter, beaming happily.]
Miss Hibiki, if you happen to see this the flowers you've given me have settled in as nicely as I have. I believe you are right and I shall like it here.
[He laughs softly before smiling kindly abet awkwardly.]
To those of you, I've yet to meet salutations. My given name is Alan Humphries though like many I've taken on the duties of a god. Persephone to be more exact. I waited until I've gotten my temple in order to announce myself. If any of you have need of herbs and plants; as well as assistance with finding or caring for them feel free to contact me.

[ At least Alan communicating with his shinki will give her a moment to tidy up her room. Slide her books and journals under the bed, scoop her scattered makeup into a vanity drawer, throw her half-sewn poppet into the closet.....
Once she's satisfied, she'll make her way toward her temple's gates to await him. ]
Alan, darling! Thank you for coming!
[ Reaching out to loop an arm through the other reaper's, she beams!
Being in the comfort of her own home, Grell wears more casual slacks and a red lacy blouse, shrouded in a loose silk robe to protect her from the sun. Even while dressed for comfort, she wears a full face of makeup. ]

[And at that Alan is doing exactly as he says, telling Castiel he's going to call on one of his old friend and then he'd happily left his temple with a basket of supplies for the plant - Grell hadn't told him what kind so he just brought a bit of everything that might help perk up a plant.
He's greeting her happily at the gates a look of awe on his features. Her temple is lovely. Strange yet lovely and it suited her. At her greeting he's smiling and eagerly taking hold of her arm with his free hand.]
Of course, dear. You're most welcome though I confess - I came for the chance to see your temple as much as I did because of your request and company. I actually have a few questions myself.
[He's curling his fingers gently into the fabric of her robe, the feel of the silk under his fingers strangely soothing.]
Tell me about this special flower of yours, lovely? I've never known you to be overly fond of such things and now you're asking me to make a house call for some delicate daisy.

[ There's a chuckle laced into Grell's breath, as she nods in encouragement to his questioning. Her grin takes a lopsided turn of amusement, because he certainly knows her well. ]
Well, it isn't some delicate daisy, darling. It's a stunning spider lily. [ Wink! ] I'll take you to see her; brace yourself!
[ Not because of the flower's splendor, but because she'll be teleporting them right to her, placed in a small planter at her bedside. ]

[But the shorter reaper is of course jesting. Flattery will get Grell everything she wants for Alan which is usually gossip over tea and a shopping partner to commiserate with about work or men.]
Oh? Well, of course, I should have know it would be something red and fiery like you. I had expected roses or something else... But spider lilies. Ah, those suit you perfectly. Of course.
[It's been a while since he's done any such thing but he's clinging to Grell's arm and letting out a soft breath as they teleport. Once he's on solid ground again as it were he's letting go of her arm - moving toward the planter - putting his basket down so he can get closer and take a proper look to see what's wrong.]
Oh dear, darling. It's a good thing I'm here! Did you name your plant?

Patting his arm to encourage that he do as he must, she'll continue their conversation, but not without a wistful sigh. ]
Oh, but I didn't need to. This is Angelina.

I see why you wanted me to take care of her. I'll do my best and she'll be right as rain. I promise.

You're a dear. Thank you.
[ Moving to his side, she takes a seat on the bed, fingers gently winding into the comforter beneath her. The lily's petals have begun to curl, browned around the edges - and while she believes in Alan's capabilities, it's still worrisome to think that she may have killed her plant by mistake. However appropriate that may seem. ]
Not long before you arrived, hundreds of lilies - like this one - sprouted throughout the island. From their blossoms, the dead found the ability to deliver their whispers... For Angelina, it seemed destined to be. [ A sigh. ] And doubly so, for our fleeting reunion.

[He's carefully looking the plant over. It could be the changing seasons. October is around the time they start to go dormant.]
Well, they usually start to bloom in September so that makes sense. And it's nearing the dormant cycle so this actually might be that. [He's pausing glancing over at her.] It will regrow if that's what you're worried about so you shalln't lose her.
We may want to transplant her to a bigger pot, give her a bit of mulch, and look at the soil you have her in but I can't find anything actually wrong. These plants are pretty good for first time gardeners because they don't need a lot of fuss or watering. She also should get more shade - they don't need much light and do better in the shade.

But, more importantly, he's said that she hadn't killed her! So, despite it all, the redhead has visibly eased, with a smile plucking at her lips. ]
So, she'll be fine.

She should be. Though I confess transplanting her might disrupt her growth and you might have to wait a cycle for her to come back.
[And while he knows they're talking plants the fact that it could be considered some kind of metaphor isn't lost on him.]
