I have neglected to announce my presence in this manner and I am perhaps overdue. I am Ciel Phantomhive and I have discovered that I am filling in for the Grecian goddess Asteria. (An ironic choice for reasons he will never tell.) She is the Titan goddess of falling stars and nighttime divinations (such as oneiromancy (by dreams) and astrology (by stars)). She is also the mother of Hekate, goddess of witchcraft.

(He is sitting at a desk, glancing at an open book briefly with his uncovered eye.)

Are there any others who hail from the year 1889?

(No, no, he never truly expects Grell. But maybe he should. He quickly reins in his shock - as well as other emotions he would rather not name.)

(She isn't the only one haunted by Aunt Angelina. Try as he might, Ciel cannot separate the image of the Aunt he so loved from Madam Red, the murderess. Yet he knows she was broken and regretful at the end. Grell's disposal of her had been cruel.)

[ Apologize? The boy will receive a quirk of the brow, as she certainly hadn't insinuated that she desired anything of the sort.

However, Grell will quickly disregard that, in favor of something FAR more interesting! Upon realizing it, her eyes widen with a tick of those upturned eyebrows. ]

(Isn't that the polite - expected - convention when one has caused discomfort? Ciel is a noble, but, in this, he is choosing to not budge.)

(He is a god, yes, however he does not presume himself to be all powerful. He is safer if the Reapers think Sebastian could appear at any moment.)
