I know of an Alan Humphries, who fits that description.

[ Grell had said Eric didn't remember anything. Even if he'd just re-met Alan upon arriving here, he should be careful what he says. ]

Humphries, that's the one! So you do know him. So, what can you tell me about him? Does he come here much? Does he have any kind of weird abilities that others don't have? Anything weird about him? [The hold Alan has over him and the way he felt when he first saw him has to be for SOME reason.]

I am his supervisor at the London Dispatch Department. Back home, of course. As far as abilities are concerned, each god and shinki here has been given a specific ability. So I would not consider his to be, as you put it, weird. Whatever that ability might be.

Honestly, I do not believe we've discussed it.

[Truth is something in Alan's face almost knocked him to his knees. He can't understand why.] So we do have a life before this that we can't remember? Someone told me that it was a bad idea to try to remember. What do you know about that?
