Do you think swords are boring? Someone told me that. I don't think its true. ( He sounds a little annoyed too but not too much. It's more like a kid whining than anything else. ) You know, there are a lot of different kinds of swords and that's really interesting!

For example, I use a wakizashi. It's short so it can't reach very far but that means I can move a lot easier in small places. I have to work harder to get close to my opponent but if I can do it and their weapon is too big, they won't be able to hit me very well. I think it's fun to see how close I can get.

I've also seen a sword that was a thousand years old! I think it was magic too but I don't know. Isn't that cool? There are a lot of different types of swords and even more styles so it's fun to learn about them.

( There's a bit of silence. He's thinking about what he just said. It's really cool, right? And not boring at all? )

Hey! Does anyone want to practice with me? It'll be fun. I'm pretty sharp, heh heh heh~

( And quietly, at the very end, there's a mutter, )

It'll be more fun than practicing math... ... Aaaah! I didn't mean to say that...!

Yeah, I'm sure - it was that unique. Kind of like, there isn't any other sword just like you, right?

[ Sort of, It's not a perfect comparison, but due to the sentient sword aspect here it might fly - even if there was an identical sword, he would still be a different person. ]

But just getting a similar spear is enough for training. What, you want to test yourself against someone wielding a different weapon?

It seems to take a lot of skill to use a sword without hurting yourself... I've only been learning how to use a staff, so I don't think I could help you with practice.

Still, I think you're onto something with different kinds of swords. It's one of a lot of things that sounds simple- a sharp and long piece of metal with a handle for you to hold. But even off the top of my head and what I've seen at Bishamon's temple, it's amazing how differently people have made that concept all over...

I imagine you could learn a lot about a person by the kind of sword they had, if you were knowledgeable about that kind of thing.

I've never fought against a spear before. It'd be fun to practice against something different..

Mm! It looks really easy but you have to practice a lot to really be good. If you're not careful, you can hurt other people too.

But I think because it's so simple, anyone can learn if they practice with the right person. Have you ever thought about learning how to use a sword?
