Hello, everyone.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I arrived home at my temple tonight to find that a shinki of mine, Shouhei Akagi, has apparently gone home.

It looks like he's left some things behind here for his friends, so if you were close to him at all, please come by the temple and get them whenever you like. I know he would definitely want you to have them.

[ Knock knock, Totsuka. It really didn't take him long to get over there, at all. ]

[heartshutter]

[ He knows, San-chan, he knows. Tatara himself just saw him a matter of hours ago, it seems like. It's a bandaid rip, but it definitely still hurts.

Of course, he's able to take comfort in the belief that Shouhei has definitely gone home, not been killed. Hopefully Bandou can do the same.

Until he sees that, however, he'll wear a sympathetic expression, starting from the moment he answers the door. ]

That didn't take you long...!

[ There might not be a point in trying to keep the mood light, but he's going to attempt anyway. ]

[chickshades]

Hey.

[ That's the response Totsuka will get as Bandou lets himself in. He almost has to stop himself from automatically walking towards Shouhei's room. ]

[heartshutter]

[ Stop himself? That's not necessary, really; Tatara understands. And, as Bandou moves inside, the god will even step out of his way. ]

He left something for you; a note, too. It's in his room, if you want to go get it.

[chickshades]

[ He doesn't move along to Shouhei's old room, though. Instead he just turns back to Totsuka, obviously bothered by something. ]

How can he just go and leave stuff for people? That means he knew he was leaving!

[heartshutter]

[ Tatara lowers his head. ]

It is a little strange... but it does look like he knew.

[ A beat, and he looks back up. ]

But I wonder why he didn't say goodbye, then.

[ He's not making this any better. ]

[chickshades]

[ He clicks his tongue. ]

He did last time...

[ When they were separated the first time, as kids. ]

Where the hell is the idiot even going, anyway?

[heartshutter]

The last time?

[ Tatara knows nothing of this. Enlighten him? ]

I imagine he's going back home, to be with the rest of-- [ he almost said "us". ALMOST. ] --his family.

[chickshades]

When we were kids and he moved.

[ He sounds irritated at that memory, even though he knows, as a kid, you really have no say in whether your parents want to move or not. Maybe his anger is more directed towards the second part of their conversation. ]

He can't go back home! He's dead!

[heartshutter]

[ He seems more irritated than he should be, yes; but then the hurt seems to erupt from Bandou, and Tatara practically has to lay hands on him, trying to still him. He's taller than the god, so they fall somewhere between shoulders and chest. ]

San-chan... [ His head shakes slightly. ] He didn't die, San-chan; he wasn't killed.

[ Tatara knows all about what that looks like, and it doesn't look a thing like this. ]

[chickshades]

He died back home! That's how he ended up here as a shinki.

The idiot went and got himself killed!

[ and since I died first, I wasn't there to save him... is the end of that statement that he can't quite get out. Instead he moves his sunglasses to press a palm against his eyes. ]

[heartshutter]

[ ...oh. He's reflecting, then. Tatara doesn't have much to say to that, really; it's a pure and simple fact. Most of HOMRA's bright flames have been snuffed out -- being here signifies that.

What he can do, however, is try to slip arms around Bandou's neck as he sees the press of a palm's heel to his eyes. ]

Sorry, San-chan... I know you care for him a lot. But everything will work out somehow, in the end.

[chickshades]

[ Bandou doesn't hug back, but instead just lets his head rest against the shorter man's shoulder. He's not crying, really. But he does let out a groan that's somewhere between aggravated and depressed. ]

He never even remembered me...

[heartshutter]

[ Crying or not, that's such a pained thing to see that Tatara can't let it go unnoticed. He'll let himself be that shoulder for Bandou -- whatever he needs -- until everything passes. ]

...aah, he may not have, but he didn't have to to care for you.
