[ Good morning, people of the Far Shore. D2 just woke up, which is easy to tell because his hair is in an obvious sleep-caused mess and he's still in his pj.

He seems disgruntled, but he got a bit of a surprise when he woke up. ]

Did anyone lose a military uniform in my bed? [ He pulls up the pillow that's wearing the jacket, to show part of the white dress uniform, extra visible against the green he's currently wearing. ] Or is it some form of prank thing? I'm pretty sure it's a US Navy issued uniform, so if anyone has a clue.

[ If he wasn't still tired and freshly awake and if he had not been startled awake and if he had had some coffee, maybe he would joke about it. (He probably would have, but, he's not a morning person.) ]

My first goddess's sword showed up in my room after her temple vanished, once. I think objects moving around may just be a part of our existence in the Heavens.

When you think about all the possible options, having an extra suit of clothing appear in your bedroom isn't very unsettling at all!

it's unsettling to think that they could have caused other things
and that i didn't wake up from it
sure i'm not good with mornings but if one of my cats stepping on me wakes me up i'd like to think i'd wake up if someone messed around in my bed
or is there magic that can do that?

Put you to sleep, or keep you asleep through a disturbance? Yes, there is.

There are also quite a few drugs, of course. How do you feel? Headache? Groggy?

i know there are drugs but i don't feel anything beyond the normal tiredness i feel in the mornings, and a bit annoyed with the situation, though i guess both have faded some by now. nothing that indicates drugs, though

I'm afraid I couldn't tell you whether those spells would leave you drowsier than normal or not.

We never seem to wake up when gods disappear, though.

if we actually got to be awake for it, maybe we’d know a thing or two about it

I'm sure that's why we never are awake for it.

But you could ask one of the older shinki. Yukine, perhaps, or Chikusa -- he's a diligent student of magic. I've never had a sleep spell cast on me personally.

what are good reasons, to you?

Magic practice would count if they asked my permission first.

Or trying to help me sleep. And then there are all sorts of good reasons that I would be angry about regardless, such as trying to keep me from noticing something I wouldn't like....

i guess so, that is a pretty good reason
and i think most people would be upset over something like that

Only on occasion, if I have too much on my mind.

I'm tempted to see if anyone knows that spell and would like to practice, just to see if there are side effects.

Maybe try listening to some music before you go to bed to try to get them out?

If you do that, hopefully they know it enough to not make you do a Sleeping Beauty. But it might be pretty good to know if there are any.

It's very relaxing! But then, tea makes a relaxing ritual regardless of what kind.
