[ So after waking up from a vivid dream that he's becoming more and more convinced isn't a dream at all, Yata sits in the barn at Roy's temple late this morning having a minor panic attack. Unsure what he's supposed to do about this and when the first person he would normally go ask is the one person he can't go ask, he does the obvious thing. At least for him.

He flips open a video feed to the BBS. ]

So, uh, I know this has been talked about on here before but it hasn't really been relevant to me before now... [ Which, in Yata-speak, means he didn't pay attention. ] ...but.

What do you do if you wake up and suddenly remember something - or someone - from before. And you're pretty sure they don't? I mean. That's bad, right?


(( OOC Note: Both Fushimi and Yata have woken up with the same memory, Fushimi is just the sort to freak out about it privately while Yata is not, hence this post. Both characters may be tagging back replies in this thread however, and both are open to contact or action logs as well, just specify what/who you want in your starter ))

[ The question feels like it comes out of nowhere. ]

I dunno? I like anything really. I haven't found anything I don't like yet, but I don't know that I've figured out what my favorites are yet either?

[ He has no idea what you're talking about, also Fushimi is in Fushimi's bed, that would never work. Probably. ]

Is it? [ He squints at her. ] Why is that weird? If it's food, I'll eat it!

[Hajime giggles a bit, grinning at him as she gives a wink]

'Kay! I'll come pick you up in 10! CYA SOON!

Wait! I didn't...

[ ...agree to any of that, but she's already closed the video. he blinks at his screen in confusion a minute. ]

Hah?!

[ What had just happened? ]

[So that's ten minutes on the dot. Most of it was needed not to get ready but to just track him down. She didn't know Roy's temple or barn at all. She's never been there or told where it was but thanks to her god ability, it isn't needed. She had Yata's name and face. That's enough of a direction for her.

She stands outside the barn, hands tucked comfortably behind her back. Does she knock or walk right in? HMMM?

Instead she moves her hands so they cup around her mouth.]

Yata! Yata! Hello! You didn't fall asleep did you? I'm here! Yaaaaaataaaaaaaaaaaaa!

[ There's a startled yelp from inside the barn as he scrambles out of the loft to hush her before she panics the horses. Practically falling out the door, he flails at her. ]

I'm not asleep, keep it down, dammit!

[birdstheword]

[You know for a guy who rides a skate board so well, the stumbling seems a bit clumsy. Hajime blinks at him and his flailing]

Ah. Hi Yata.

[She greets casually, reaching out to grab his hand gently.]

Let's go! You didn't tell me what you want or really like so we're going to go to a buffet!

Yeah, hi. Wait, why are we going anywhere?

[ She grabbed his hand. He's sorta staring at that with wide eyes, not sure what to do about it. ]

'Cause I said I'd treat you to something tasty. If you don't wanna go there I guess we can go somewhere else or I can try and make you something. You seemed so indifferent that I just went with my gut instead.

[She stands there, giving him a small tug of encouragement before she proceeds to just swing their hands together.]

[ She's still holding his hand. It's really distracting. Is this normal? Should he be rolling with this? He doesn't know what to do in this situation at all and his neck is starting to heat with a faint flush. ]

Uhh. no. That... that would be fine? A buffet is fine, I just.... why are you treating me again?

Whenever I got a lot on my mind, sweets usually help me think. It makes me super hungry! I figured maybe the same would work for you. A full stomach never hurts!

[She winks at him, a skip to her step as she leads the way.]

[ He lets himself be led, for lack of not knowing what else to do about this unexpected situation he's found himself in. ] I guess you're right? I don't know that I've ever tried that before. I guess it... couldn't hurt, at least?

[ Still. That doesn't mean he's any less confused. ] Why are you going to all this trouble? You barely know me.

Bingo! Then food is the way to go! Who knows if it works or not but you never know until you try!

[Hajime laughs a bit, bouncing their hands a bit as she swings them back and forth playfully]

This isn't trouble and if we barely know eachother then we can fix that today! I played twenty questions with another friend before. Just ask me whatever you want.

Yeah, but...

[ That still doesn't make a lot of sense to him. Not that he wouldn't go out of his way to find out more about people who interest him, or look after someone who needed help. There's just a part of him that can't help but be surprised at finding that sentiment returned. Which might be a sign that he hangs out with way too many prickly, oblivious, or socially-awkward people, really. ]

Why me?

[That sounds like a better question. Her smile stays though her eyes look curious as ever. Is it that strange for someone to want to hang out with someone else?]

You're pretty shy, huh Yakun?

Wh-what? I'm not!

[ He's quick to sputter out that protest, because that's the last thing he expected to be accused of.

....even if he is still beet red over the handholding. ]

This is just... surprising, okay.

How? I asked you and you accepted. Just the two of us going out together to get something tasty. I don't think that's too surprising.

[Why are you so red, Yata? Someone needs to get out more! She squeezes his hand playfully and gives it another tug]

I have a question for you! How come you pick the barn over Fufushi-san's bed?

Hah?!

[ Anything he might have said in response to her first comment gets completely derailed by that. At least it's easy to figure out who she means by Fufushi. ]

Because it's his bed and he's already in it, obviously!

Is his bed super small that you can't share?

[Come on Yata, whats the big deal.]

I dunno, but it's his bed.

[ That's the big deal. ]

He and his god are already giving me a place to stay until this place gives me a new one. I don't want to be in the way.

[birdstheword]

But if he offered to let you come inside, then it's not being in the way! Maybe they want you closer!

[She perks, pointing in the distance]

Almost there!

[ He just blinks at her. ] What for?

[ Although he looks a little relieved that they're almost at their destination. If only because this conversation is a little strange. And he doesn't know how to answer half her questions. ]

You should ask yourself that! He must of offered for a reason.

[Hajime winks at him, giggling a little as she moves along. Skip in her step, gently guiding and tugging Yata along]
