I know everybirdie is really busy and there's been a lot going an lately but I've been thinking a lot about what happened at the party.

[Hiyoko is well aware that a lot of other stuff happened right after and there were plenty of gods and shinki still dealing with the fallout from that. That's why she gave it a few days. But now it's time to see if anybirdie else is thinking along the same lines as her.]

That fire was obviously set by people who aren't happy with Amaterasu. I'm not sure if it's her they don't like, or if she's put some unpopular policies in place, but we can't really ignore an attack like this. Has this group tired anything like this before? Have they made any other demands?

[Because 'down with Amaterasu' is one thing, but 'down with the heavens?' What are they supposed to do? Start hurling their temples at the near shore? That demand is way too vague.]

I also heard about an incident with poisoned chocolates. That was before I got here but the whole thing sounded pretty fishy. Does anybirdie else think that might have been an attempt to discredit Amaterasu? And if there any other incidents like that, I wouldn't mind hearing about them.

I think we're still waiting for more clues for who is behind this, even though whoever-they-are went and did such a bold attack as that fire.

As for incidents... There was the massive ayakashi attack on Feb 24, just as some new gods and shinki showed up. It could have been coincidence, but the longer this goes on, the more suspicious it looks. Although I have no idea how you could get ayakashi to coordinate like that.

The chocolate thing was on Mar 15. If someone was out to discredit Amaterasu-sama by that, they did a good job.

All the other times the new guys showed up, it wasn't anything too unusual going on. We helped with a boat festival and took down a weirdly large ayakashi in a school. There was also the first cherry blossom viewing.

As for the fire and "Down with the Heavens! Down with Amaterasu!"...
Heaven has done some things that I can't agree with, but I still think that we'll have to all work together to get anything solved.
I have no idea who would benefit the most from all this mess.

Sorry for the private text. We should share all the information we can but- I don't want whoever-it-is to know we're still so clueless.

I know. That's why I decided we can't just wait around for clues anymore. We need to pool our information and try to figure this out.

Thanks for the dates, by the way. Very helpful. Also you mentioned the 'first' cherry blossom viewing. What happened at that one? Was it completely peaceful?

And on a side note, I kind of think the 'we're clueless' ship ha already sailed. I mean, most of us just got here within the last couple of months. Of course we're clueless. I just don't plan on staying that way.

Yah, I think that sakura viewing was totally fine. They even made a deal out of the food not being poisoned, seeing as it was an apology for the chocolate thing.
It was on March 26, if you want the date.

The boat festival was on Mar 5th, overnight. The school thing was Apr 5th.

I guess the other time new guys showed up was at the spring cleaning on Apr 15. Nothing much happened then either, although I think some people found interesting stuff while cleaning.

And then Suzano'o-sama happened, but pretty sure he was crazy all on his own. That was Apr 19.

Even if we're clueless we don't have to make it obvious.

If you have to advertise that your food isn't poisoned, something is seriously wrong.

2/24- Sudden large scale ayakashi attack.
3/5- Boat festival. I guess that was peaceful?
3/15- Poisoned chocolates
3/26- Apology for poisoned chocolates. Did Amaterasu or any of her people have anything to say about it? Some kind of official statement?
4/5- That school thing. We never did figure out what was behind all that.

If you want to investigate, you should get used to doing some digging. You can go back through the BBS and see for yourself what Amaterasu-sama said.

I know people have said that 'something bad happened' every time new gods and shinki showed up but that's not quite right. I guess you could say that there was 'something happening' every time, but it's not like things don't happen other times too.

Somebirdie actually linked me to that a couple of minutes ago. But I still can't believe she actually said that stuff. I mean, people died and she calls it a mix-up? Talk about bad PR.

Although... when I look at the list, it seems like something bad happens every other time newbies show up...

Then I guess the question is: coincidence, or pattern?

It's probably too early to say one way or the other. But if the pattern holds up, next time they won't try anything but the time after that will be trouble.

And we're stuck in 'wait and see' again.

I don't like it, but it can't be helped until we get another clue.

We just have to do whatever we can in the meantime. Like gathering and organizing what we already know.

And keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

By the way, a while ago a guy named Sephiroth was also asking around. The way he talks is really high-handed, but it sounds like he's level-headed and confident. You could try comparing notes with him.
