Is anybody else still thinking about what happened with that school? I never did manage to dig up much information about that new principal, and we defeated the ayakashi, but still....

Did anyone figure out where he was from? Or what he was really doing?

That seemed like some high-level magic for a public school administrator to be throwing around.

Why are you still thinking about it? Sure, it was unusual, but everything should be fine there now.

Anyway, for what it's worth, Yuto and I found out that there was some strange stuff going on with the school's money. The school has a lot of money coming in, but compared to the costs, there was a lot of money not accounted for.

That's not all that strange though. Of course that huge ayakashi would amplify greed, along with who knows what else.

I'm just wondering... a lot of us found occult information around the school, for one thing. Like maybe that ayakashi was deliberately summoned. And I couldn't tell exactly what was going on with the students, but my wards weren't doing any more than slowing down the energy drain.

So, there might be a mortal sorcerer behind it. Which means taking down his big ayakashi isn't going to make everything fine forever.

Thanks, though! Shun and I found some doctored financial records too, so with those two put together, I think someone must've been stealing.

Did anyone see a mask on the ayakashi? With a symbol something like an eye on it?

Not on the part of the ayakashi that I saw, but that wasn't the whole thing.

It was weird for an ayakashi, though. After we defeated it, we found out it was... possessing, I guess?? Possessing regular Jell-o.

Possessing Jell-o? It felt like it but it was actually-

[...okay, maybe that doesn't quite sound in the style of the guy who got Ebisu killed.]

I don't know everything there is to know about ayakashi, but yep, that sounds weird.

It seriously was regular Jell-o. Lime.

[Not that he tasted it on purpose, but when it went down, it kind of... splattered.]

I don't know everything about them either -- they're different from the kinds of spirits I'm used to working with. But I think something must've been done to it to get it to inhabit a dessert.

Please tell me you didn't actually taste it.

That it's different from what you know is kind of a give-in at this point. When it's something different than what the gods here know, then it's a problem.

I couldn't help it! When it finally died, the goo splattered everywhere. Some of it got on my face.

I thought I was gonna get stung, but nope. It just stained my collar.

You said that possessing Jell-o sounded weird to you too, though, right?

Makes me glad I was a sword at the time.

It does, actually. I've seen a variety of ayakashi, but that was pretty weird.

But you'd really be better off talking to the gods with more experience about it.
