Look! There's going to be a lot of haunted houses in this park soon! Everyone should go! It looks like a lot of fun!

( And he sets the poster down next to Kamekichi, his always sleeping turtle. Right now, she appears to have a cooling washcloth on her shell. It's hot, guys. Summer is here. Someone get this turtle to a cool pond. )

Hmm... you know, it's that time of year, too! Isn't that fun? Maybe we can tell each other ghost stories! I'll start, I'll start!

Have you ever heard of tsukumogami? They're spirits that live in "things." I think the scariest one is Boroboroton! Boroboroton is an angry futon spirit. If you don't take care of your futon, it'll come to life, throw you out of bed, and cover your face. Isn't that scary? So you should take care of your things before they get angry!

( He isn't very good at this ghost story thing and he has twenty more stories just like this one. )

Seriously, a spirit that haunts a bed? That's the scariest one you can come up with? Only a gullible idiot would believe a story like that, let alone be frightened by it.

Anyway, I've encountered things a hundred times more terrifying than a lame spirit that throws you out of bed. Before I arrived in this world, my soul was uploaded to a computer system that had gathered a substantial amount of data from horror movies and psychological studies to construct its environments. A typical month in that place would make anyone wish they had just a moody bed to deal with.

I dunno about ghost stories being 'fun'. We're kinda ghosts too, so it's not like that stuff doesn't exist...

Anyway, that's a pretty scary story about boroboroton. I don't think I've heard about that one before.

Hmm.... what about Kasa-obake? That's an old umbrella with one eye and a really, really long tongue. If you run into it on a rainy night, you'll become afraid and unable to move your legs!
