Hello, everyone. It's been a while since I've made an announcement like this, but I'm afraid I've been a little busy lately. I hadn't intended to stop taking clothing commissions, but I've been training with Lady Orihime over the past few weeks to learn more about creating divine raiments and it's been taking up most of my free time. I've finished my first major project, though, so I've got a little more flexibility lately.

I still won't be taking commission work until I've finished my training, but I do have enough time to open the temple up for beauty treatments. The pools in the garden behind the temple have healing properties and help keep skin soft, and I can also do hair and nail work for anyone who's interested. In addition, I'll be teaching a sewing class once a week at Hakkai's school. And once Lady Orihime is satisfied with my progress, I'll be able to start making clothing again too. So if anyone is interested in any of that, feel free to let me know and we can either set up an appointment at Lakshmi's temple or get you enrolled at the school.

[Forrest smiles, nodding at the feed.]

Well, good to know you're the one she's going out with.

I kind of went off tangent there. Sorry about that.

No, it's all right!

[He could talk about Kairi all day.]

So, what kind of hairstyles did you want to learn?

[A sheepish smile as he rubs the back of his head.]

Something simple, maybe? Then again, I'm not sure which hairstyles would be considered 'simple'.

I could show you how to do a simple braid, or maybe pigtails... though it would help to know a little more about the person whose hair you'll be working on. You're learning to do this for a friend, aren't you?

Yeah, you got me there.

[He looks thoughtful.]

She's a bit shy, uncertain of herself sometimes, but she's a good person. So, I thought that helping her do her hair might help break her out of her shell a little more.

Well... I'll show you a basic braid, then. That shouldn't be too hard to manage.

Alright. Thanks, Forrest.

Although... hmm. Your hair isn't really long enough.

[Forrest is somewhat loathe to take his own hair down from curls, but he did say he'd show Lavi how. What a dilemma.]

Mm, do you have a wig here that we can practice on?

[Sorry for the trouble, Forrest.]

Oh! Actually, yes!

[He bought one for this exact sort of thing. Forrest loves his curls, but every so often he does get the idea to try something new.]

I'll be right back with it.

[He stands up and heads into the other room for a few minutes, coming back with a wig atop a small stand.]

Here we are.

Great.

[He walks a bit closer.]

How do we start?

[He's all ears.]

Well, first you pull it out into three sections, like this...

[Forrest demonstrates each step on the wig.]

And then you cross one strand over the other.

[He does the first one.]

And then the third.

[And again.]

And then you just keep alternating like that, all the way up.

[Lavi watches intently, nodding once he got it.]

Okay.

[Grabbing enough hair to make the wig, he'll repeat the steps that Forrest has shown him.]

There you go. Just take it nice and slow. It's not hard once you get used to the pattern.

Oh, it's not so bad.

[He finishes one braid.]

Do you like doing these sorts of things, Forrest?

Making clothing will always be my first love, but I've come to enjoy this too. It's fun to help people look their best.

Nothing wrong with that. Some people might need the help.

[A pause before he looks over.]

How's it working with Lady Orihime?

Everyone has a style all their own. Some people just haven't found it yet.

[Forrest nods, glancing back to Lavi.]

It's been wonderful. She's such a kind and patient teacher, and I'm learning a lot.

Or haven't realized it.

[He finishes up another braid.]

That's good to hear. She is a good person, certainly been helping me making an outfit, too. I've never really been good with fashion, so. [A light shrug.]

Either way, those are the people I like to help look their best.

[Forrest nods at the braiding job approvingly.]

Yes, she's very generous with her time and talent. She's been a very good example to live up to.

If you don't mind me asking, who have you already helped?

[Somewhat pleased, he works on making another braid.]

I would imagine so. Don't know if I can handle being her apprentice, though, admittedly.

Between clothing commissions and beauty treatments? It's a pretty long list.

[Forrest gives a pleased little laugh of his own at that.]

Sounds like you keep yourself busy.

[He looks amused.]

No, thank you. I'll stick with learning how to do hair first.

I like to have at least one project going if I can help it.

[Forrest has always been the industrious sort.]

Well, you're doing just fine with that. All you need to do when you're done is tie it off at the end.

[He glances over.]
