Just a heads up for everyone, Reika who was Surtr vanished. The temple's gone too.

I really don't know who her friends were so hopefully they see this. I guess that makes me a pretty poor shinki doesn't it?

Also, if anyone's got some space at their temple for me to temporarily crash at that'd be appreciated. I can offer to cook in return for a cot.

So what kinds of stuff can you cook?

[ Priorities. ]

Depends on what you like. I usually do small meals or desserts but I'm pretty flexible.

I like desserts! And noodles, and fried rice, and dumplings, and grilled beef. Lotsa stuff.

[ Not picky! ]

Luckily I'm pretty good with all those. Oh, and let whoever is in charge of your place know to expect a guy who might look a little roughed up. It won't interfere with my cooking.

Yeah, it was kind of stupid. Though I don't know if we can get any deader than we are now. We can definitely get hurt.

[Shuusei looks over the anon text. It appears this person doesn't know her. With how this weeks going, he's not very chatty so he ignores it and moves on.]

Thanks for the offer. I don't think I'm going to stick around any one temple too long. It feels strange being cut loose like this.

I've hand enough trouble for the past few days to last me a while. Not like I could get in to too much more at this point.

Just try to stay away from ayakashi.

I don't plan on getting cornered and turned into trash monsters like those. I guess I should wonder how likely it is for me to run into them roaming the heavens? I'm not going to the Near Shore anytime soon.

It's apparently not unheard of for ayakashi to appear here, though it is rare.

I'll keep an eye out. I don't think I could deal with one even if I had a god helping me right now.

I'll be fine. But thanks for the offer. Maybe after I get everything else sorted out if I still need it I'll let you know.

[When he answers the call he forgets to decline the video part. At first he comes on the screen and, even more apparent then his dour mood, there's visible bruising still on his face and some less than quality bandages.

He bites back a curse and cuts the video.]

Yeah, I'm fine. I got a few places to hole up until they reassign me.

Rei-c... Reika helped me take care of it right after it happened. I got patched up, now all I have to do is rest up.

[He did technically get some medical attention when it first happened. He just hasn't decided on going to follow up appointments. Also he's bad at first aid on himself so replacing bandages has been fun.

Still, he goes for a cheerful, playful tone as he continues.]

It's nothing fatal, I promise.

Even if it's not fatal...!! Resting up can't be easy right about now, either. What happened? An ayakashi?

[Nope. Just a monster of a Shinki. Still, he's not really proud of the fact he took the kid on head on like an idiot and he's kind of down about the whole thing with losing his god.]

Car accident. I didn't see it coming and I don't think they noticed me.

It's fine though. It's kinda like getting a very harsh lesson.
