[ The feed clicks on, showing a red and white comet goldfish aimlessly milling about a tiny fishtank. (For those interested, the video likely literally looks something like this, sans soothing muzak.)

There is no footage of the videographer himself; no face shown on the screen save for perhaps fleetingly in the tank's reflection. Tatara's voice is audible, however, his words very easily discerned. He sounds a bit awed, perhaps almost smitten. ]

Aah, would you look at her! She's lovely, isn't she~?

Trouble is, I've had her for a while now, and I can't seem to think of a name for her. Would anyone be kind enough to help me? Just reply here with your ideas, and I'll pick the one that best fits her.

Are they your shinki? If they're interested as well, then it could definitely be fun to work on together.

[She wonders if Natsuru would be interested in any hobbies like that - circumstances have led them to singing on opposite sides, but there are still other options.]

Shouhei? Yes, he is!

I'm not sure he'd be interested per se, but I know if I ask for his help, he'll be there.

[ He's got one of the best shinki around, a mere hat or no. ]

Well, it's always good to have someone reliable. You could always ask if he's interested in building an aquarium with you.

[That way, at least he'll know if it ever comes up.]

Aah, Shouhei's the type to say 'yes' even if he's not, though.

He's... a people-pleaser, I guess you could say.

[declamando]

Oh, I see. Do you think you'd be able to tell if he really wasn't enjoying it? It might still be worth a try.

[It really depends how well they know each other, because Maria knows that can vary widely between god and shinki pairs.]

[heartshutter]

I would definitely be able to tell! [ Not only does he know Shouhei well, from their last life, but Tatara is keenly perceptive, surprisingly clever, undeniably sharp. ]

The trouble is -- or would be -- getting him to stop once I've figured that out.

[ He failed at that before. ]

[declamando]

[That just seems to confuse Maria, going by the look on her face.]

Wouldn't he stop if he knew you wanted him to? It's not really helping you if you're upset he's not enjoying it, right?

[heartshutter]

[ The look on her face does indeed say it all. ]

Aah, I'm probably not making much sense, am I?

[declamando]

Well, it probably doesn't help that I don't know the person we're talking about.

[Maria laughs a little apologetically, not wanting to make him feel bad.]

[heartshutter]

[ He laughs along with her, sheepish. ]

Shouhei's someone really worth knowing! I bet you two would get along just as well as he and I do.

[declamando]

I'll take your word for it. Perhaps I'll meet him at one of the gatherings in future, since they happen often enough.

[Obon's coming up sometime soon, so that's one definite option already.]

[heartshutter]

Please do! And you and I can meet there too, if you like!

[ Tatara loves making new friends. ]

[declamando]

If you like. I'm always happy to meet new people.

[A polite smile. Sometimes it feels like they need as many friends as they can get in this place, when people appear and disappear so often.]

[heartshutter]

[ A coy wink. ] Sounds to me like we have a plan, then!
