My shinki isn't beholden to me. We work together but it isn't worship and I wouldn't want them to; it's more than enough that there are apparently people on Earth who now worship me.

That said, if my shinki decided to help another god and did not tell me or even discuss it with me first, that would be another matter. The lie would be the offense, not becoming a nora.

For your information, I have been nora'd against my will. It has nothing to do with worship, reverence, or even want. It is simply those so called gods gone mad with power.

Shinki are just tools to them, you know? And I couldn't care less about their feelings. If I had a choice, I wouldn't go with any of them; I am beholden to none.

Worship is something mortals do. My shinki are not mortals, therefore they do not and cannot worship me. They work with me, and provided it is agreed upon by all parties and no one goes too far I have no issues with them working with someone else. I trust my shinki to do what is best, and if what is best is agreeing to let another god use them so that god does not die I fail to see why anyone should have an issue with it. It's the forced naming that's a problem, as it dehumanizes the shinki and leaves everyone open to being tainted.

I have two shinki. Only one of them could be said to worship me, through their own inclination and not my insistence.

The second has another god, and was assigned to them before I named them. I knew about it perfectly well when I took them on. Their situation would make it difficult to leave the other god, but it was their choice to offer me their service, and as a friend, I accepted so I could support and protect them.

Ideally, all gods would deserve loyalty and all shinki would serve their gods without conflicts of interest. Reality rarely reflects the ideal situation. That's nothing to get offended about.

I have two shinki, but I've only named one because the other was named by a different god before I was able to. I haven't spoken with him about it yet, but if he would prefer not to have more than one name, then I won't give him one... but I won't throw him away because he was marked by someone else.
