I should think even soulless Shinki deserve a name? Since I cannot say they are a male or a female, are there names that are...neutral? I have sought out Georgian names - since their origin seems the most fitting - but only a few appeal to me.

Eteri, for example, has a nice sound; as does Imeda. Can you immediately determine gender based on them?

(The first means "ether, air" and the second means "hope", which is why they appeal to her so much (besides their sound).)

I welcome all suggestions.

I do not have jurisdiction over them. However if a child should become my Shinki, that would be another matter entirely.

Once that kid finds out what they are there for and capable of, what would you do if it asks to be used? Wouldn't be fair to keep them away from that if they're the type to want to help.

Then I will guide them to the best of my ability and...protect them most of all.

Helping is different from racing into battle rashly.

I would do my utmost to rescue them. They are my responsibility whether they adhere to my orders or not and it is my duty to punish them.

Protected to a degree. If you don't let the damn things learn things on their own, they grow up spoiled and coddled.

So I should let them run off and perish? There is a difference in letting them have their independence on matters that do not risk their life and ignoring them when they throw themselves into peril.
