How many of you are capable of spells or skills that can heal others?

Based on recent incidents it seems like a good idea to know this.

For starters, I know healing spells, if they're needed.

You know, a couple of people have said that worlds thing. As far as I know, I'm from this one. Or do you just mean different planes?

No, there are many worlds out there. As many as there are stars in the sky. Those are the hearts of worlds.

Where did you hear that thing about worlds?

That's what I've always known.

Have you never been to other worlds?

I've been to other planes. Do you mean worlds like alien worlds? Or like, the world of the dead?

I'm not familiar with different "planes" so, worlds that are separated by physical distance.

[sweetdeath]

Okay, in that case, definitely not.

You mean you have? How?

This is the third world I've been to.

But people I know have traveled to many more than that. The methods vary; I'd use corridors of darkness if I needed to... But they don't seem to work here.

Corridors of darkness? I've never heard of that spell. I'd say you should explain it, but if it doesn't work, it probably doesn't matter, right?

I can't quite get through to certain planes either, though, here. Maybe gods are restricted.

Probably not. It's just opening a pathway between worlds, but not everyone is capable of it.

This world may come with its own set of rules. If so, our capabilities could be reduced in a number of ways.

Yeah. I'm gonna have to keep trying things out myself. See what works and what doesn't....

Have you come across much that doesn't work yet?

Teleporting to the Summons Department, for one thing. I guess I don't have access anymore.

I haven't heard of that place before, but I think if it's not part of this world, we can't reach it.

The road between worlds appears to be closed.

[sweetdeath]

I think it is, but you know, I can't be sure without getting there.

Anyway, it's weird!

Based on what I know of worlds, your inability to get there suggests as much.

Though it's true our abilities might just be limited in strange ways. Guess that's something we can only speculate on.

Yeah, we can't be sure. Getting there used to be a thing I could do because I was a god of death. It's too bad, anyway! I didn't even get the chance to give my landlady notice.

You were a god before coming here?

Are you still a death god, or did that change?

Yeah, but death gods are a lot more like shinki than like real gods. We're the souls of the dead and we work for Enma.

... I'm pretty sure it changed when I got here, though. Like I said, I can't get back to the department, and my summons contracts are broken.

When you put it that way, it does sound more like shinki...

Yeah, I guess so.

I meant to be humorous.

[Not that he...does very well with humor. A nuance he's yet to grasp]

But in some ways you may actually be more powerful, once you get a feel for what you can do.

No, I mean, you're right! I did bounce up a couple pay grades. Or I would have if they actually paid us, right?

There are some powers I have now that I didn't before, that's for sure. It's tricky not having my summons, but I'll get used to fighting without them! I didn't have any way back when I started as a god of death, either.
