So if you were serving one god, but then they left and you got assigned to another god and you have to move all your stuff into their temple and you live there now, should you still bring a gift or something when you go there for the first time? Like what kind of gift? Flowers? Cake? A television?

I don't know if they have a television.

If they don't have a television, do you think I could just bring that as a gift even if I was the one who was going to watch the little people on it?

So that's a thing? Being reassigned to another god if your previous one is gone?

Cake is a pretty safe option. Unless they don't like cake. Then you should bring the flowers.

[He's only halfway kidding about the flowers, even.]

If they do have a television, I don't see why you shouldn't keep it. But it's more fun with other people!

Doesn't sound like something I'd want to be a part of.

Have you met your new god then?

If you are attempting to bring favor to your new god, may I suggest to do some research on what in particular your god is in charge of and then select something from under their supervision?

When it comes to gift-giving, it's often best to think of why you want to give them something in the first place and secondly what you would want to receive in turn. While someone might not turn away a television, it isn't often that someone receives one out of nowhere.

I say play it safe. Something small and easily used by everyone. Might I recommend a bottle of champagne? It's often the spirit of choice when celebrating a memorable occasion.

It's not very polite to give someone a gift if you're the one who plans to be using it.

Try flowers, or what Kazuma suggested about some object that suits their divine office.

Then hope you get along with that person. Must be different from the first god you've had.

Well, that depends on the person you're trying to give them too. I always say pretty fancy things are the way to go, but some people like the sentimental touch. It really depends on what your god would like.

By the way, who is your god?

Why is it a secret?

Haha...that would certainly be going too fast. How well do you know her?

[From his own meeting with the god he was reassigned to... some things you can just tell. Like a possible addiction to sweets, for example...]
reformedsinner: (as a matter of fact!)

If she chooses to share it with you, that's fine!

But you wouldn't give someone a cake and then eat it all, would you?
