Is it weird that parts of this feel normal and parts of this feel like a simulation? It's strange and I get uncomfortable thinking about why some things seem really off without me being able to pin point why they are off. Also, realizing I died in what are probably my early 20's sucks.

So on to a more important question! What do shinki do for fun around here? I know there's cooking, cute goddesses and wine but I'm feeling a little boxed in by the weirdness of it all and could use a few more distractions.

Try taking up a hobby! I'm sure there are plenty of skills you might find a use for.

Online courses are also a good way to avoid the awkwardness of interacting with the mortal world.

[Deadpan.]

Yo. If you do meet cute goddesses or whatever, don't bring them to the temple. Place isn't soundproof.

What sort of things do you do for fun?

[It's possible he'd get better advice from Gojyo. On the other hand, Hakkai sees nothing wrong with continuing to suggest constructive entertainment.]

Have you tried dancing?

[It's not something he'd normally suggest -- it's certainly not his preferred form of entertainment -- but it springs to mind somehow. Maybe he's thinking of Elsa. She'd have been holding her ballroom dance classes today, if she were still here.]

Hmm. You might try Sheryl Nome?

This and that. There's always assisting my god with his duties, of course, and I teach math and Japanese to some of the younger shinki.

If you're interested in learning, Kazuma, Bishamon's lead shinki, teaches more advanced shinki magical techniques.

Yes. Have you learned how to cast a borderline? That's the first technique.

It's a shinki power that allows you to defend yourself! For instance, it will hold off ayakashi, at least temporarily, if you're caught on the Near Shore without your god.

I'm afraid I can't teach it through text very well, but I'd be happy to show you the technique at some point.

S'not like I care. Just take it somewhere else.

Anyway, how'd you find that out? You cooked for someone already?

You ever been to a karaoke parlor?
reformedsinner: (ha ha ha!)

Ha ha, well, in that case. How about the park? I can be there in ten or fifteen minutes.

It shouldn't take too long, although you're likely to have to practice for a while before you can cast it.
