Hello, This is Kazuma- Lady Bishamonten's exemplar and I figure that this would be the best place to provide a vast amount of information to all the new Gods and their Shinkis. Since a lot of you are new and unused to the way things are viewed as, perhaps this post would be able to save some of you from making too big of a mistake.
Duties of a Shinki
A shinki's duty is to be their god's moral compass. Gods by nature are free of human sin, and by default- they are not obligated to have a sense of what is right or wrong. That is the shinki's job since they were mortal once upon a time, and they have knowledge of what is the best moral choice to make. A shinki must not indulge in actions that they deem to be morally incorrect, thus such feelings like guilt can prove deadly. When a shinki commits too many sins, or has too many negative emotions and thoughts, they are going to be blighted. When a shinki is blighted they risk endangering their god. When a god is blighted too much then there is a chance for their god to die. With all the changes happening in the heavens I am unsure of what will become of those that die nowadays.
The dynamics between multiple shinkis serving under one God.
As I had mentioned earlier, negative emotions and thoughts are deadly, so when one God has more then one shinki it is very very important to have a good harmony. My suggestion to those shinki who need to work with others to serve their god is to bring any problems - no matter how small - to their exemplar or lead shinki. Let the exemplar handle the situation and bring it to your god's attention.
Shinki's that serve multiple Gods.
Now, as fun as it would seem to serve multiple gods and have several cool and interesting shapes and names- this may not be met with much approval from the older gods. There is a special term used for Shinki's that chose to serve many gods: Noras. According to the older gods, Noras are are rather seen in a negative light. The best way to relate how the older gods see Noras is to link them to escorts? You use them for jobs that you do not want to use your own shinki to get involved in, and not mind being betrayed by them. My suggestion to those that are already Noras is to be discrete with that information or keep it to the newly created gods and shinkis.
At the risk of this post being too long, if you have any questions or concerns that need to be addressed, please feel free to address my number or approach me during my lessons at Lady Minerva's temple.
Thank you.

[Guilt level over signing up with other god(s)? Nil. Really, the description just made it sound more fun, like maybe he'd get the extra-horrible jobs that no one else wanted!
Someone had to do those things, right? It was probably better to let the good shinki stay good.]
But uh, about that moral compass thing... what if yours is a little bit... dented.
I mean, it's not totally gone! Just kinda out of whack.

Techincally speaking, as long as you fully believe in what you are doing is right and you do not regret your choice, you will not risk endangering your God

Nah, I wasn't worried about that! I mean, it's good to know anyway that I'm not gonna be inflicting any Henry-wielder with awesome wounds just by doing my thing, but uh
I get the feeling that I'm not cut out to be anyone's moral guardian! If gods are really supposed to know what's bad or not from their weapons, I don't think they're gonna find out much from me.

And yeah, I guess that's the name for it. Good thing I don't feel bad about it, huh? But as long as I don't do anything I think is wrong, is having some old guys be mad at me the worst thing that happens?
If they're gonna smite me, that's okay too, I just want to know what to expect!

...Unless picking up ayakashi counts too. I should probably stop doing that!

That would be wise.

It got a bit tricky during that chocolate delivery! Defense is great and all, but if there's no gods around I'm kind of limited to what I can smash up.

I look forward to seeing you attend my classes, Henry-san.

Me too! I'm guessing you're the head shinki around here, since you know all this- it'll be fun seeing what carnage an expert can come up with.

Well, way of death. Can't say I envy the position, anyway.
