Wow, it feels depressing to have so many posts about people disappearing. But I guess I should tell you all... Battler's gone. I'm sorry to his friends, but I didn't revoke his name, and it's gone for sure.
Maybe he'll come back like Hisoka did, though! Don't give up hope.
Anyway, I don't want that to be all I say. So how about I introduce myself? I know there's a lot of new people here I haven't met yet! I'm Tajimamori, the god of sweets, but you can call me Tsuzuki. Or Asato if you like, ha ha ♥
I got here right around Valentine's Day this year, and I was a god of death for a long time before that. (Don't ask how long! I'm still a young man!) But if you've got questions I might be able to answer them. Or if you just want to tell me a little about yourself that's fine too.
Let's be friends!

it'd be nice to meet you face-to-face sometime
but there's no rush
[So far, this seems to be going better than most of her efforts with modern technology, this still feels unnatural compared to letter writing or live conversation.]

Or we could meet on the Near Shore, whatever's good for you.
[Or her temple, for that matter, but Tsuzuki's got enough manners not to invite himself over to somebody's place when they've just met.]

i should be able to find it
mine is the stone western building with pillars and flowerbeds
or you could ask yamato-san or hijikata-san to show you the way

i don't leave the temple much except to visit hijikata-san's
is there a day that works best for you?

You know, if you don't mind, I'm not doing too much today! Lilka and I were going to bake muffins later, but that's all. I could drop by your place in, say, half an hour?
no subject
i don't mind
i'm not doing much today either

[He's as good as his word. It's about half an hour -- maybe a little longer, but he'd had to look for a place that matched the description, and he knocked on the wrong door once -- when he shows up at Vesta's front door in his usual slightly shabby black suit and long coat. It's not exactly divine raiment, but hey, mortals can't remember what he looks like anyway, and he's fond of this coat (mended claw holes in the sleeve and all.)]

Oh, hello. Tsuzuki-san, I presume? I'm Yumi. Please come in.

[He steps inside, automatically bending down to take off his shoes as he glances around. The place is pretty nice, really. She's got a traditional look going, with that outfit; way more traditional than he usually bothers with, that's for sure.]
Your temple looks nice.

[Maybe it comes from all the time she spends in the kitchen lovingly crafting meals for others, the meticulous attention to detail that her occupation requires, or simply growing up in a traditional time period but Ayumu's developed enough of aesthetic sense of her own to glow a bit at the compliment.]
It keeps me busy when Vesta's followers have what they need.
[It still feels strange to refer to them as her followers when she's little more than a substitute for the real goddess.]
It's nice to meet you, too. Would you like some tea? Maybe some snacks?
[Someone's been distracting herself with cooking after losing another shinki. Not that she'd had much time to really bond with Satoshi in recent memory or remembers the first shinki she lost. At least, from the note Satoshi had left her, he'd seemed happy enough here.]
no subject
So, you said you'd been settling in pretty well... it looks like you've got everything set up nicely in here!
no subject
I've been trying! There's been a lot to learn and not enough time to do it in.
[She chuckles and starts toward the kitchen area.]
And feeding you is no trouble, Tsuzuki-san. I forget I'm only cooking for a few people and make too much food, anyway.
no subject
[He trails along behind her, smiling cheerfully.]

[As always, the temple's tidy and clean with minimal dirt or clutter in the halls. When she enters the kitchen, it's much the same. It's also one of the more archaic rooms in the temple, looking like it could have been lifted straight from an Edo-period museum exhibit.]
Hmm, there should be lots of sweets still if Souji-kun and Yamato-kun haven't eaten them all.
no subject
[Okay, he sounded way too eager there -- Tsuzuki clears his throat, flushing a little as he straightens up. Right! Being polite! Not just barging into her house and clearing out her kitchen of homemade treats....]
... uh, I mean, whatever you've got's fine with me! So, I've got to ask, you invited me by pretty fast. Is there something you wanted to talk to me about?
no subject
Well, nothing specific. I just thought it'd be nice to finally make your acquaintance, Tsuzuki-san. And it's nice to have company. It's been quieter around here lately.
[While she speaks, Ayumu putters around the kitchen. Oh, good, there's still some manju left. She grabs the platter and sets it down in front of Tsuzuki.]
Please help yourself.
no subject
She seems to have sweets down, though, if the manju she's offering are any indication. He picks one up.]
Thanks for the food! [--and takes a bite.]
Wow, that's delicious! Did you make these yourself?
no subject
[Ayumu smiles, pleased by the positive reaction. Really, the more people she can feed, the better. There's less time to be lonely when she keeps herself busy.]
I love to cook. Any reason I can find to do it, I usually take.
[So maybe that came out as a little needier than she meant it to. But like usual in off-duty conversations, Ayumu's having a little trouble thinking of things to say. So after a moment, she asks the first thing she can think of, propping her chin in her hand.]
So I've heard you've been here for quite some time now, Tsuzuki-san?
no subject
[He shrugs easily.] It was right after Valentine's Day when I got here -- so I just missed the big candy holiday, how about that? Poor Tajimamori, he works that hard and then he gets godnapped off somewhere....
[Or killed. Tsuzuki doesn't like thinking about that option, though. He likes the job just fine, he'll work hard at the job, but... he's still not a real god. He's just a guy.]
