So how does a vampire turn people into new vampires anyway? I thought it was just biting people in the first place.

Because I'm writing a book.

There was a vampire on the loose biting people the other day, why else?

But to answer your question, there are different methods depending on what kind of version you find on vampire lore.

It's not certain. If you haven't been experiencing any sort of bloodlust or suddenly being opposed to sunlight, I don't think you'll have to worry about turning into a vampire.

I'm not offended by garlic, either.

Not from what I've heard, so he could still be out there lurking somewhere.

I wish I was, but there haven't been any news on a vampire being captured.

And I don't think locking a door is going to help.

Do you think garlic works to keep them away for real?

It's worth a try. I'd still recommend you still keep some sort of weapon with you, though, in case it fails.

Not like I know how to use any kinds of weapons.

I'll just stick to staying inside for now.

At least until we get word that he's been caught. [Or killed.]

Hopefully that's sooner rather than later.
