Does anyone think that, sometimes, the gods might still be hearing and answering our own thoughts and prayers? I've been missing my home lately, and this morning, I woke up next to a very kind gift that one of my friends made for me. It could just be a coincidence, but I can't help but feel like there's a reason behind it.

Though a thought. Please tell me Niles or Odin didn't have a child.

...And all right, I won't.

Really? You're sure it's from home?

I see. If it was from one of the gods, that'd be pretty nice of them.
Did you pray to anyone in particular?

[Forrest had been human, though, so that might've carried over.]
Sure! Just give me a moment and I'll come meet you.
[It wouldn't take her long. As splendid as the temple was, she'd unconsciously made it a point to memorize the layout as quickly as possible. Spotting the familiar set of blond curls, she'd lightly tap on the outside of the room before saying]
Hey.

[Forrest smiles as he looks toward the door, waving Psyche inside.]
Please, come in!

You said your friend made it for you, right? Were they also a fashionista like you?
no subject
Oh, no, nothing of the sort!

[Then again, it was a gift. And, while she wasn't sure what sort of people Forrest might've known back in his world - it wasn't really a thing that'd come up -, having something to remind them by was probably reason enough.]

[Forrest smiles fondly, taking out the pillow and showing it to her.]
It's from my friend, Selkie. She's a kitsune, and was raised in the woods. One day she saw me sewing and wanted to try, but got too excited and cut up some expensive fabric I'd been planning to use. As an apology, she sewed this pillow together for me and stuffed it with the scraps.

[She looked over the pillow curiously, tentatively reaching over a hand to check the work more closely...]
Oh wow! It's super soft, too. I think more than a few people would kill for something like this.

[Forrest gladly hands it over for her to inspect.]
It is! I'm glad that fabric was able to go to a good use after all.
