"okay" is a handy shorthand for "you're not terrible but you're not all that good"

it depends on the context! sometimes it can mean something or someone is okay

then you have another context when you're describing someone you don't get along with but in a polite manner

So if I didn't like someone and another person praised them, it's okay to just say "They're okay" and it's still the same meaning that you don't like them but you're being nice?

I was just making sure I got it right. If I don't like someone, I tell them. Unless I have to work with them.

working with someone you don't like is such a pain, honestly, even if it's for a good cause or a job. whenever i meet with people i dislike, it totally shows on my face so i get asked to deal with it -- by my staff :\

what's the big deal if they find out i don't like someone?? so weird. everyone has a reason to dislike certain people, anyway...

I don't get it either... Isn't that a human thing? That you don't have to like everyone you meet?

right! there are, what, six billion people on a planet? it's impossible to like every single one of them
