Thank you to everyone who came to our school's open house, and also to everyone who has stopped by to use the library and start taking classes! We're very happy to have you, and to help you on your learning journey.

swordfighting skills? i don't think i've ever seen swordfighting before except in movies
truly an experience i must see for my own two eyes

aaah i've never taught before! another new experience to gain, especially if i'm going to collaborate with a fellow pro

but i'll give it 100% plus another 10%. you can count on it!

Aah well, Hakkai's vessel form is a sword, so I'm going to re-learn the basics and practice hard, for both our sakes.

I'd hardly say I'm a pro, exactly! I do have experience, though. I danced competitively in college.

More like, I wanted to de-stress in school, and the competitive ballroom dancing club seemed like the most fun, so... yes and no? It doesn't matter, though. I can still teach a few styles.

it's always good to get rid of unnecessary stress -- or any kind of stress, really. even better when it's dancing of all things

there's something about it that makes the mind and body feel so free and light!

what kinds of styles can you teach? i know some elaborate choreography made for the dance-pop genre

Yes, I agree. It's the closest thing to magic I've ever come across. Well, until now, of course!

Mostly ballroom styles. Waltz, salsa, bolero... oh, I know there are a few others, but I can't think of them right now. I can probably pick up others with some work, but those are the ones I'm more confident in. I'd be interested in seeing your choreography. I've always done dances with a single partner, but I could be persuaded to give dance-pop a try.

oh, my. i've seen those dances before in competitions, but i never tried them myself except for the waltz. i should learn the rest from you since you know them! it helps to extend repertoire that way.

anyway, i'll gladly show you what i know from my concert tours. :) it demands a lot of energy from your body, but it's a lot of fun when you get the hang of it!

speaking of workouts, do you have any weights or mats for the class? i'll bring in a few from my shrine just in case

That's always good to hear!

No, we don't have any weights, but there should be mats in the ballroom for warmups. I would suggest bringing yours to be on the safe side.

in that case, i'll bring in my equipment over to your temple so there's enough for everybody

any preferences on when dance classes begin? just making sure i'd be on time for them, of course

I'm thinking of having them mid-morning or mid-afternoon on Saturdays. Maybe both, if there's an interest in more practice or in learning more than one style.

Or, you could lead one session, and I could lead the other.

Saturdays sound like a great day to hold these lessons. it's the weekend which means more time to spare

i like this idea, too, splitting up the workload. besides, you're also teaching bio class on weekdays

Yes, and also Sunday to rest up.

That's also true! You're welcome to come to those lessons too, if you like. Everyone is welcome.

bio isn't usually my thing, but i'll come to that class. i need to learn new things anyway so my mind doesn't turn rusty and all

Don't we all? And with so many of us here, there'll be more than enough to keep us busy when we're not doing godly things.
