[Action; Locked to Hajime]

[Yuuki hasn't been a shinki nearly as long as some. But even she can realize when things are very, very wrong.

The room she awakens in is not her own, and that much is clear right away. Already confused by her new location, she is immediately informed that this is where she belongs now; that she is the shinki of Neith, not Freya.

It's enough to terrify her.

It had all happened so abruptly, she has no time to even try to begin to understand. Why the change? And how? Did she do something wrong? Was Bo okay?

Had she somehow failed as a shinki?

By the time Hajime meets with Yuuki, she isn't the cheerful, enthusiastic girl Hajime has seen so often. Instead, her head is tipped down, hands clenched at her sides as she practically exudes waves of fear, anxiety, and insecurity.

No. This isn't right. This isn't how it's supposed to be.

I don't serve Bo anymore I'm one of Hajimes shinki now.

I just woke up in her shrine all of a sudden and I don't know why

Bo where are you?? Has anyone seen her recently???

I don't understand. What happened???? Is this normal??

[ Oh poop of course it's easier for her, she can pop into her own temples whenever she feels like. ]

Unless there's somewhere else you'd rather go? There are other places, both here and on the Near Shore.

[Closer might be better while she gets used to the location of Hajime's shrine, it's true.]

I know this nice park in the city

[She gives the address - it's a small park with play equipment for kids, but there's definitely some good spots for sitting to look at the blossoming trees.

Or, you know, potential sparring space. But for this time at least, she'll visit for more important reasons.]

That sounds fine.

[ Yeah, she knows that park. It's probably best for her to be out in he open. ]

[And sure enough, Yuuki will be waiting, her hands behind her back as she stares up at some of the trees in the area. Even at a glance, she's far more subdued than ever before. She just doesn't have the energy to put into trying to look cheerful right now.

No... It wouldn't even feel right to try.]

[ She can only imagine how it would feel to be separated from one of her own shinki. Suzuha was bad enough... so she can't help but feel a little for these new shinki even if they didn't have the bond of having been given their names by their gods.

But she'll approach slowly, making sure not to startle the poor girl. She definitely doesn't have the same energy as before and who can blame her. ]

Yuuki?

[She looks up quickly enough, not exactly startled, just... fast. As she always is.]

Bishamon-sama...

[And she bows, because at a time like this, it feels especially necessary.]

Thank you for meeting with me.

Not at all.

[ She doesn't believe the bow was necessary. Not at this moment, at least. But she was the tiniest bit late for a reason. ]

[ From behind her, she produces a paper bag containing three ningyoyaki. ]

I know you probably aren't hungry... but I thought you might want a little something through the day.

[She looks at the bag in confusion at first, her eyes widening in surprise once she realizes...]

This is for me?

[Slowly, reverently, she reaches out to accept it with both hands.]

You didn't have to, but... Thank you.

[It's incredibly touching, knowing that Bishamon went out of her way like this, even if it feels entirely undeserved.]

[ She's more than happy to hand the bag over even if she isn't sure how much of a comfort it'll bring. ]

They've always been my favorite. I thought they might do you some good.

[ And a hand on her shoulder, if only to calm the girl. ]

To be perfectly honest, this isn't common. Gods disappearing and leaving their shinki almost never happens so I'm certain Bo didn't mean to leave without telling you.

[The last part is what gets her snapping her head up again, fully attentive.]

Do you... Do you have any idea why, then-?

[In person, the desperate plead in her voice is only clearer.]

[ And this is only a theory, mind, but it's better than nothing. After all, she can't leave Yuuki hanging with that look on her face. ]

If we find out what happened to Bo, it might bring us a step closer to finding out why you were brought here and who's to blame. The only guess I have is that she's been taken to wherever she originally came from.

[ There's a sigh though. ]

Rest assured, Yuuki... we'll stop at nothing to find these answers.

Why I was brought here...

[Her brow creases slightly at that. The words are simple enough, but the meaning...]

...I'm here because I died... aren't I?

[There's so many things going on, so many questions without answers. She never felt 100% certain here, despite the confident front she put on. But the longer her stay, the less and less she feels sure about overall.]

Yes.

[ It's hard to explain but having all these gods and shinki come in without warning is a bit of a warning for everyone. All these newcomers have brought such life to Takamagahara but along with their arrival is the looming thought that there's someone out there behind all this. This can't be just a simple case of heaven trying a new system or something, after all. ]

But having so many gods and shinki arrive all at once... something isn't right. Those are the questions we seek to answer.

How... should we look?

[Because she wants to, definitely. She can't just sit still while something strange like this is going on.

If something really did happen to Bo... she doesn't want to let it happen again to others, too.]

Tajimamori... or at least the one who replaced him... and I have been looking into the matter. Asking the other gods, searching their temples...

[ You can tell by the look of frustration on her face that this hasn't been going well. ]

For now, the most we can do is to learn as much as we can of the newcomers. It seems that more keep appearing.

[She nods, lowering her head again.]

There's a lot that I still don't understand, but... I'll try to find out anything I can.

[ And at that, she can't help but reach out, lightly petting Yuuki's head. It might help to reassure the poor girl, at least. ]

[ Gonna pull her hand back now. ]

For now... try to work with Hajime best you can. I know this is as sudden to them as it is to you.
