[Action; Locked to Hajime]

[Yuuki hasn't been a shinki nearly as long as some. But even she can realize when things are very, very wrong.

The room she awakens in is not her own, and that much is clear right away. Already confused by her new location, she is immediately informed that this is where she belongs now; that she is the shinki of Neith, not Freya.

It's enough to terrify her.

It had all happened so abruptly, she has no time to even try to begin to understand. Why the change? And how? Did she do something wrong? Was Bo okay?

Had she somehow failed as a shinki?

By the time Hajime meets with Yuuki, she isn't the cheerful, enthusiastic girl Hajime has seen so often. Instead, her head is tipped down, hands clenched at her sides as she practically exudes waves of fear, anxiety, and insecurity.

No. This isn't right. This isn't how it's supposed to be.

Is it?]

I don't serve Bo anymore I'm one of Hajimes shinki now.

I just woke up in her shrine all of a sudden and I don't know why

Bo where are you?? Has anyone seen her recently???

Hey, do you want to maybe meet up somewhere to talk about it? And get a parfait? There's this great place I found the other day in Ikebukuro.

[She's got a really bad feeling...]

[She's not even his shinki. No, all she wants to know is whatever information he can provide.]

After a day like this one I think you need some ice cream.

[He taps at his phone briefly, sending her the cross streets.]

You shouldn't have to treat someone else's shinki. I'll be there soon.

[It doesn't take her long to plug it into a maps site, and with her wings, it takes even less time to reach the place. Thus, Tsuzuki will be granted the sight of a familiar girl with sparkling, translucent black wings as she rights herself and descends. Even when they vanish, they leave a small shower of sparkles in their wake. The joys of being a (sort of) fairy?

But perhaps even more notable than that is just how withdrawn she is, her head tipped down and that characteristic smile of hers gone. She isn't as panicked as she was when she first realized what had happened, but the loss clearly still has her feeling down.]

[Worry is clear on Tsuzuki's face as he looks up to catch a glimpse of her dark wings and -- more importantly -- that sad, withdrawn look. He's snagged an outside table for himself and Hisoka, but he hasn't actually bought any ice cream. If Yuuki really doesn't want it, he's not going to drown his own sorrows in dessert... at least not until she leaves again.

He waves to catch her attention and points at the extra chair.]

[ Hisoka has no end of misgivings about this, but he doesn't have it in him to fight this battle with Tsuzuki. If he did, he half thinks his partner would end up blurting it all out to her anyway. He watches her from his seat, looking pale and tired but still attentive.

Yuuki's usually such a bright splash of color on his impression of the emotional landscape. It's all so wrong. ]

[She seats herself, folding her hands on her lap for now. Not what you might normally expect out of such an exuberant girl, but then, today is a day for breaking expectations apparently.]

Do you think this is connected to the other gods who have disappeared?

[Might as well get that one out of the way.]

[She's already made the same jump Tsuzuki has. He's not sure if that makes it easier or harder to say. His shoulders slump, and he nods.]

Yeah, I do, Yuuki.

[There's a lot more to say -- he wants to know if she noticed anything, if she felt anything when whatever happened to Bo happened, if... but not now, he thinks. He can't quite get up the will to interrogate her when she looks that upset.]

[And there it is.

It's hard to say if it's a relief or not, having her fears confirmed like this. On one hand, it does mean it's unlikely that it was Yuuki's fault, but on the other...

Bo is still gone. And they aren't any closer to knowing why.]

She didn't do anything wrong, I'm sure of it. So why...?

[Just what was the common link connecting all of them...?]

I don't think it was a matter of doing "wrong."

[ He glances briefly to the side, suddenly wanting nothing more than to avoid eye contact. ]

But there wasn't any sign of what occurred.

[Tsuzuki nods affirmation. Whatever this is, it's not a punishment. If it were, they'd do it above board. This is a secret disappearance, and they're even trying to wipe out the place where her temple once stood.]

I think someone did this to her. They bulldozed the whole shrine in one night... that doesn't happen coincidentally. But we don't know why they picked Bo.

[He leans forward, crossing his arms on the table.]

Did she say anything to you about seeing anything unusual, or going anywhere unusual? Any suspicions of somebody?

I don't think it'd be-- ["one of the new gods," he is about to say, when he's suddenly struck by another possibility. What if the new gods and shinki aren't just distractions from the disappearances? What if there are so many of them, from so many different weird places, to hide whichever new person their god-killer wanted to bring in?

He darts Hisoka a worried look, sub-category "I thought of something else I shouldn't say in front of the bereaved," and looks back at Yuuki to correct himself.]

-- You know what, we have no idea who it might be. Anything strange she said or any unusual behavior you might've noticed from her... like if she were trying to keep something secret from you.

[The hesitation catches her attention, and she glances up, brow furrowing a bit. It's like he was about to say something else, but...

...]

I didn't notice anything weird.

[Her own voice is wary, even if the words are honest. What was that all about...?]
