Hello to all the new gods and shinki. I don't think I've met everyone yet.

If anyone is ever having trouble getting into their god or goddess's temples, mine is open to anybody who needs it. It's the Japanese apartment with the well in the front. There have been a couple incidents in the past, so I figured it would be good to extend our space. There's a lot of it in the apartment, and we're only really using two of them.

On an unrelated note, does anybody have healing skills or medical training? Don't worry, nobody's been hurt right now. This is just so we know who to contact in those cases.

Is it continually escalating, do you think? I can't judge, I just got here.

Not continuously, the worst thing that's happened so far is chocolate bars being infused by ayakashi? After that it was a cherry blossom viewing feast- nothing bad happened then. We went to a high school to deal with an ayakashi that was making people sick. Then it was spring cleaning, and there were only a few hiccups there.

...please go back and explain the chocolate bars. That sounds worth hearing about.

That was when I first arrived, I think it was White Day? Heaven had a surplus of chocolates that hadn't been handed out, so we were told to give them to the Near Shore residents. Except they weren't double checked for ayakashi somehow, so what we ended up giving out made people suicidal unless we killed the ayakashi and snapped them out of it.

In addition, some of the chocolates didn't have the standard ayakashi that went after humans. Those ones only attacked shinki and gods, they seemed tougher than the usual kind. They were vicious and single minded on injuring people in the Far Shore.

Is heaven really that incompetent? Were they always intended to be handed out on the Near Shore?

...I say again, is heaven really that incompetent? Even regular people have inspections and tests that food has to pass before it's consumable.

Did these non-standard ayakashi recur afterward? I haven't encountered one yet.

Most of these problems seemed to happen after we started to arrive. Still, I was expecting better quality control than what was in place.

I haven't seen any ayakashi like them again. Nobody seems to be sure where they come from.

[Youji gets about halfway through the post before the surreality sets in. He'd sort of gone along with the god thing because, hey, it beat being an assassin-slash-florist-slash-art teacher. But Amaterasu...]

I feel like this place got exciting just to make me miserable. Do you ever feel like that?

I've felt that once or twice.

You're coping very well. I commend you, trying to make it work like this.

This is just how things are. The best I can do is try to make it work.

Still, doing the best is commendable. There are plenty of people who would just sink into apathy, after all.
