I need advice. I have been given the most terrible secret in the world, and the person I confide in most, whose opinion I would normally seek in this circumstance, is the one who I must keep the secret from.

I am very good at keeping secrets, but I am not nearly as good at bearing things alone as I used to be. Without knowing who I can trust not to tell this person, it's left me in a predicament.

Which means, I suppose, I am asking for help.

it's about a lad I fancied in the place I was before this one
it isn't that bad
but it does get summat sad

since I'm his god now well him and his brother at least
I'm sort of responsible for them
It's the least I could do for them both
Who knows?
Maybe they'll remember someday

I'm not entirely sure that's the case. There are plenty of mythologies that regard non-gods becoming gods at least.
