I need advice. I have been given the most terrible secret in the world, and the person I confide in most, whose opinion I would normally seek in this circumstance, is the one who I must keep the secret from.

I am very good at keeping secrets, but I am not nearly as good at bearing things alone as I used to be. Without knowing who I can trust not to tell this person, it's left me in a predicament.

Which means, I suppose, I am asking for help.

Well, it isn't that any of us were injured. We all survived with limited injury and when we were hurt along the way, I was able to heal it.

It isn't that I am necessarily suspicious, either. But for now, because of the circumstances, it might be wisest to not necessarily believe and trust everything the Heavens say.

Did you have a bad run in with heavens where you're from?

This experience has been my first time interacting with them. I didn't think they were real before I got there.

Not in such a way as this. I have dealt with deities before, though.

We had thought our mission was clear, then. We did as we were told because it was the legend. It's taught me to ask questions.

I'm sounding very cynical though. I apologize, Midoriya-san. I don't mean to conspire. I am sure the Heavens have the best of intentions. I just do not want to regret my actions ever again, and I do not want anyone else to ever feel as we did then.

I'm pretty sure we weren't really given any real missions when we got here. Just to help people and fulfill their prayers.

I can understand that, especially if you've had to deal with that before.

I think the mission we might have is much simpler.

We are to fill the roles of these gods.

I'm not sure how much I fill the role of a morality goddess.

To be fair, I don't think the title of the Good Goddess is necessarily accurate for me, either. But that is why they brought us here, isn't it?

Yes. At least that was my understanding.

It's a really vague request, but I'll try to fulfill it.

But it does make sense that that is our mission, doesn't it?

Usually a mission has an end. This seems indefinite.

Which might only mean that there is something waiting to be done that we haven't been told.

Wouldn't it be more effective to tell us what they wanted us to do to begin with?

Not necessarily, if it is something we'd be reluctant to do.

That's true... But it's not as though we had much of a choice either way.

Not necessarily the case, either! It's important to remember that there's normally another option, you just have to think your way out of it.

I've never had to deal with being a god before. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing you can just stop doing.

And it's not like I mind helping people with their problems.

Like I said, you seem suited to the task, Midoriya-san.

But the gods are not always about helping others. There are tough decisions involved. I have worked closely with gods before and it is all about weighing what will benefit everyone the most.

I've never worked with or seen gods until now. But if I am a god then... then I'll do my best for everyone's sake.

If there's somebody who needs help I'm not going to ignore them, no matter what.

That can be a very dangerous way of thinking.

Helping someone could hurt someone else. You should consider the possible outcomes before using any sort of divine power. If someone prays for you to win something, after all, it means someone else will lose.

Those aren't the things people ask me to do. And that's more of an effort and skill based thing, right? Like if you're going to pray to win a match or a game, that should be based on the effort they've already put in versus their opponents.

I can't manipulate stuff like that anyway.

Nothing like that. I can share powers between two people.
