What kind of adventures did the vampire go on?

Yes they can fly and have wings and drink blood though not all bats do that, some just eat fruit. They went on lots of adventures and sometimes get into trouble but always find a way out of it!

That sounds like quite a story.

What if I were to tell you that I’m a vampire? I can’t turn into a bat, though.

You are? [Romeo is surprised. He hadn't know that about Joss at all! But then again, if Joss had just remembered it seemed he hadn't known it either!

He's nothing like the vampire from the story!]

Last night? That's a big thing to remember! [Especially since Joss was still sick!]

[Joss switches back to video. He looks as miserable and feverish as the last time Romeo saw him, but sadder. Older.]

It was. I’m very old, Romeo. Very, very old.

Old? What do you mean Joss? You're not old! You're littler than me! [He can't be very old at all!]

I was littler than you were once, but that was an extraordinarily long time ago.

[How to explain this?]

Shinki don’t age, right? We’re dead, so our bodies look the same age as we were when we died no matter how much time passes. Vampires are the same way.

A very long time ago, I was a normal human being. Then I died and became a vampire. I still look the same age as I did the day I died. That was nearly 700 years ago. I’m not a kid at all. I’m ancient.

[He knew that. Shinki never got bigger even if they lived in heaven for a long time! So Joss was like that, he had been a kid and he had died and then he was a vampire and then he died again and became a shinki?]

Seven hundred years? That's... A long long time. That must be as old as some of the old gods!

Older than some of them, even.

[He laughs a little, until it turns into a cough.]

Being a vampire explains a lot. Too bad, though. It’s rather disappointing not to be a ten year old super-genius. I’ve just had a lot of time to work at things.

[Suddenly he frowns.]

I’m not not a child, Romeo. I died seven centuries ago and became a vampire who killed hundreds of people over the years. Do you still want to be my friend, knowing that?

[Well it makes Romeo feel a little better... Maybe if he lived until he was seven hundred years old he would know lots of things too!

But it's true. Joss isn't a kid. Not like Romeo at all. Just like Ebisu isn't really a kid and Elfnein isn't really a kid.

As far as Romeo knows he is just a kid, unless he's forgotten too. He feels like just a kid though and Joss is a grown up. A really old grown up and one whose killed hundreds of people...

He already knows Joss is a good person. He's his friend even if he did really bad things before. He is good and kind, even if he's killed people. It's a big bad thing but Romeo believes he is good, really, under all of that.]

Of course I do! I know your not a kid but... I am friends with lots of grown ups here like miss Ginia and mister Iskander and mister Waver and... Do I got to call you mister Joss?

[Because that sounds weird.]
