[ Although Minako smiles, there's something a bit muted about her. If not just for the fact that the volume of her voice currently isn't rupturing your eardrums right away with the greeting. ]

I thought I should let everyone know, since a lot of people know her.. But it's probably going to be difficult to reach Zelda for a while. Because she's asleep! And, you know, not just "doesn't want to get up in the morning" asleep. More like.. "sudden spring hibernation" sleep? Which is something that.. sometimes happens, I guess!

[ It's fine. This is fine. It's fine! See, she's smiling. Totally cool. ]

I guess.. until she wakes up, I'm going to try and take care of Metis temple affairs. [ Sure, Natsuru is there too, but Minako is the Exemplar! Not to mention Minako does have a natural leader sense - despite her lack of memories - and a huge sense of responsibility. It comes natural to try and take the whole world on her shoulders if needed. ] So if you need anything.. just let me know instead!

[ Oh Edge. It's a little reassuring to at least seem some familiar dramatics here. And the choice for text is very much appreciated. Minako wanted to get in some initial video footage so she could try to seem okay and so no one would worry about her, but it's hard to keep it up for long. Text is easier. ]

Hey, I know how important your goddess is to you, and how much this is really bothering you. You should know that if you ever need anything, be it a distraction, or company, or just a hug, you can ask me and you'll get it. And I promise not to ever hint at how much I know this is bothering you, because I ALSO know that keeping your smile up is really important to you too.

But since you know I know that, if you ever need to stop smiling and let out some of what you're feeling, you can come to me too. I won't tell a soul, ever. I just want you to know that you're not alone, whether you want to keep your image up or not. You're being strong for her, but I'll be strong for you. You need and deserve that too.

[ Aw.. That's incredibly sweet. It's definitely true that Minako doesn't feel like sharing emotions whatsoever right now as long as she's able to, but on the other hand, she doesn't have to feel as bad about not wanting to share when he said he understands. Which means a lot, since adding more guilt on top of everything else she's going through would be incredibly tough.

For now it's much easier to focus on the silly, dramatic side of it, even if Minako is still more muted than usually. ]

Who does the laundry over at you guys' place? [ Don't they have a boys' bachelor pad.. ]

[Yep, Temple Saber is a total sausage-fest, to Edge's ongoing dismay. (To be honest, a tiny shameful part of him is envisioning a scenario where Minako needs a new god, and Saber is up for the challenge, and...)]

[(Another part of him is imagining just what a DISASTER Saber and Minako as god and shinki would be. She is, uh, not suited to restraining his impulses. Or vice versa. Yikes.)]

[ Worded more toned down than it usually would have been (with at least three exclamation points and maybe some smileys), but she's at least genuinely engaging in this discussion. It's a slight distraction from everything that's going on, anyway. ]

[Yeah, he can tell. Honestly, he doesn't know how she could possibly think no one could -- spend ten seconds around her and it's obvious how she normally is. But maybe she's all right with just making it seem, if not great, better than it is.]

[How, how, how does he get her to take care of herself? He's got to, somehow.]

Hey, it's a miracle anything gets done! With Saber and Suzaku around, I feel like a babysitter!

Are you saying they're not as reliable as you?

[ Not like she knows either of them, so Minako herself has no idea. And yes, she's giving Edge a compliment here! Because he really tried hard to be nice and thoughtful just now. And even though this is just about all she can muster, she still wanted to try doing something in return. ]

Most of my adventures with them are trying to talk Suzaku out of moping and trying to keep Saber focused on what we're doing long enough to do something about it, after which time I'm stopping him from destroying everything nearby!

[He's not even exaggerating, Minako.]

Why would he want to destroy everything? Isn't your god a good guy?

[ Says the girl who was blowing holes into the walls of the cultists' compound. But.. look, they were the bad guys, then it's totally allowed! ]

Then again.. I'm sure it'll be fine with you around. You're really good at making sure things don't go wrong.

You would not believe how much practice I'm getting at that. I'm going to be the world's best person at stopping Saber and Suzaku from idiocy. It's a niche role but an important one!

It sounds like they have nothing to worry about with you around. Do they know how lucky they are?

They haven't a clue, and I can't blame them! After all, when there's a smart, sweet, lovely, leggy blonde shinki around, how can anyone compare?

[ Thanks for easy opening there, Edge, it makes it a lot easier to slide in something that sounds more like something she would've said under normal circumstances by batting back the compliment (even if it's slightly less over the top dramatic due to everything). ]

[ He's braver in that respect than miss Minako "I will try three times as hard to try and cover up a flaw even when it's super obvious" Aino over here, anyway. ]

I always try my best not to be too much of a nuisance, but there's only so much I'm capable of.

I should say that I'm old enough to know better, but I'm afraid I never learned to control my more foolish impulses.

[ .. wow, he's really good at this whole admitting your weaknesses deal, huh. Maybe a little too good, considering he's making himself not look all that great now, but there's something admirable in being able to admit this much anyway. ]

You can't always just rely on him though, you know. That's putting way too much pressure on him.

I rely on Suzaku as well, though Suzaku will take far too much upon himself if I don't keep a proper eye on him. I usually have quite a few more people with me, but being summoned to this place seems to have sealed that particular ability of mine.

I attempt to compensate for that by being on my best behavior at all times, but my best isn't quite on par with the best of others. I will say that I haven't started any wars yet, so I would consider that a considerable step in the right direction.

I haven't gotten kidnapped, either!

Both of those things are good.

[ Even though "not getting kidnapped" and "not starting a war" is a pretty low bar to set, huh. Who thought Minako would end up running into people more ridiculous than herself here. ]

If you do something to make things extra hard for him though, you'll have to deal with me. [ Which would probably be more of an intimidating prospect if Minako wasn't much more low-energy than usually and wasn't five foot tall teenager, huh. ] I'm trusting you since you sound like you're making a real effort, but just know that.
