Looking for part time work? Interested in assisting with prayers across Japan? The God of Fortune, Ebisu, is hiring for multiple positions at his temple. Applicants with skills and/or knowledge in office support, customer service, technical support, languages, agriculture, manufacturing, and fishing are highly welcome, though all skill levels are welcome to apply.

Hours are flexible, pay starts at 4000 yen/hour. Higher rates can be negotiated depending on skills/knowledge. No naming required. Additional benefits include on-site meals, travel options across Japan, and training in shinki spells.

Speaking more candidly, any help is welcome. Even if you can only spare a few hours you will be properly compensated for your time and do a great service to the temple. The majority of work is office-based, but there are plenty of field opportunities too.

I'll level with you. Any help is truly appreciated because we're swamped with work. We're incredibly understaffed and the work isn't letting up since he's the god of the economy and all.

I promise I can find you work that's worth your time and uses your skills, but please know anything you can do will be helpful.

Well then, that's even more of a reason. Although I have some arrangements with Shikyoin, I am ... unused to having to watch funds. Much less on my own.

So, we would be helping each other, in the end.

But. That just gives me even more reason to do so, and not just because you're partnered with Yukine. I would be honored to help in any way I can.

It is not well known among the new generation, but the staffing issues are apparent if you spend any time in the temple.

[There's no hiding the empty desks and cubicles in the working floors, the feeling that for as many people are current there, it's still too large.]

I should also ask if you have any problems with nora.

But... no, I don't suppose I would? But I feel like there's a good reason for asking that question.

All of Ebisu's shinki are nora. The stigma against them is stronger among the old generation than the new one.

I presumed there wouldn't be an issue as we've worked together, but I wanted to make sure.

Understood, but I promise you, that is not an issue at all.

Admittedly, I may be biased there - it is largely because Yukine trusts you that I was inclined to do the same, but. It makes little difference to me.

It's a relief to hear, nevertheless. I care greatly about my temple. They're stressed enough as is and I'd hate to bring more, even unintentionally.
