[Normally, Shun doesn't let people know exactly what he's going to be doing in the wake of a loss. He'll just drop off for a day or two and come back and carry on with things. This, however, is something he's going to need more time for, and he'd rather make his position clear in advance.]

I'm going to be taking care of some personal matters for the next five or so days, and it'll mostly be in Egypt and Iraq. If you contact me and it's not an emergency, don't expect a response after today.

[On the other hand...well, this is going to be a fairly significant undertaking. He could probably use help if anyone's willing, and pride aside, he owes more than just his own effort, he feels.]

If you're not a stranger and you want to help, contact me privately and I can give you information. I'll need some eyes out around here too, and this is more than a one-person job.

[The observant may notice that the name "Inanna" is missing from the gods list, and that a plot in Southeast District that used to house a temple that was a mix between a medieval castle and a Middle Eastern styled courtyard house is now empty. Or mostly empty. It looks like someone came by at a very early hour and somehow managed to encourage a large swathe of mountain lilies to bloom across the fresh earth where the temple used to be.

Only those closer to Shun are likely to know what the full ramifications of that disappearance are, though.]

[ They may not have met overly much but Obi is friends with Chinatsu and as a result they're not complete strangers. ]

Is Miss Chinatsu coming along with you or is your business too private so she's looking out for things here?

[Considering how little Shun mentions who his shinki are, the fact that Obi even knows to ask about Chinatsu is indication enough to him that Obi probably knows her better than he does Shun.]

I asked her to come with me. If it was completely private business, I wouldn't have asked for help at all.

You might have, but skirting around the details is apparently something that you're doing either way. But it's good to know I won't have to be worried she's unexpectedly disappeared if I don't see her around for a few days then.

It's not as if I'm stopping her from contacting anyone, so if we end up gone for longer than expected, she can keep you updated herself.

[It's not as if they won't probably be dropping back in at least overnight, but Shun's preference for no contact is more because he doesn't like distractions.]

No, sure, she wouldn't let anyone do that anyway, but it's more a kind of "might get really busy" kind of thing you know?

I'd rather not keep her that busy, but she's stubborn about standing down, so I can't really say how that's going to end up.

[He could order her back, but he's never been fond of that kind of relationship with his shinki, and even less so now after losing two of his oldest ones and one who he'd fallen out with prior.]

[He figures Ginia is one of the people who'd be able to parse the actual gravity of the situation, and it's relieving in some way.]

If time's an issue then I'm not going to put you out of your way by dragging you across the world, but while I'm out of the country, I could use one or more people keeping an eye on my shrine here and Ren's old shrine. With the cultists more active recently and that thing with the dolls, I'm not going to assume they don't somehow know when someone's disappeared to take advantage of it.

It's hard to tell this soon after he disappeared.

[There's a short, but noticeable pause before the next message, as if he had to think about how to type it.]

He told me not to get hurt, so I suppose I shouldn't let it get as bad as usual.

Chinatsu and Kotori going with you?

There's a few less of those now, with how things have been lately.

[Shun values the friends he has left, but he's lost several close ones in the last month, and it's weighing on him more and more with each one.]

Chinatsu is. Kotori is looking after the temple, but I've taken in the three soulless shinki Ren had, so they're coming with me too since they'll know more about how he ran his shrines.

[It weighs on all of them, especially when it's the ones that have been around for significant amounts of times. Naive to think any of them were safe, but it felt that way after a certain time period.]

I met one of them on New Year, I believe. I didn't realize he had three. Did he have any other shinki?

Since you don't know me, I'll let you know that I don't like people fussing about whether I'm "okay" or not. Especially not strangers. I'm always busy, so this isn't some massive addition to my workload.

That's fine. I'd definitely want to interrogate them on why they chose now to make a move, but you're right I wouldn't need much of an excuse to do more than that if they pissed me off enough.

Kotori should be looking after mine, and I'll probably leave one of Ren's old soulless behind to run his, so you shouldn't have to do anything for the shrines themselves. You can always ask them if they notice anything while I'm gone that needs further looking into.
