Hello, everyone!

I was thinking, it's the right season for flower viewing, but so many of the cherry trees around here skipped blooming altogether... [A real tragedy, and for a short moment she looks particularly pensive before brightening up again.] But, I have a tree in my temple that's in bloom right now!

[And, here, she aims the camera to the couryard behind her, revealing a large tree, blooming in a multitude of differently colored and shaped blossoms.]

It's not a huge park full of trees or anything, but I thought that having a party for anyone who may have wanted to inulge in some flower-viewing would be fun! [The camera now comes back to her.] My birthday's on the 21st, so that's probably the best time to have people over, right? [She laughs lightly before continuing.] I know it's short notice, but anyone who wants to come over and have a nice relaxing day is more than welcome. I'll leave the details of where my temple is attached to this post, so please consider coming if you're interested!

[The feed ends there, and true to her word, a set of separate images is attached to the post - a map with a location in the Southwest District circled, and a photo of the temple itself.]

How old are you turning?

[ Mordred's just been listening in as Yuna sends out her invitation, waiting for her to finish before speaking up. ]

You're really making a big deal out this birthday thing, huh?

Thank you! [For the birthday wishes and the compliment!] It's really stunning with all of those flowers, right? It's more impressive in person, if you'd like to come see it for yourself!

I'll look forward to it! Hopefully it'll be a nice day for everyone stopping in.

I'm going to be turning 15.

[Is she going overboard with it? Either way, she seems to be enjoying herself even with just the planning of it all.]

Of course! [No shame at all, huh?] It'll be my first birthday here, so I want to make sure it's a really good one!

You're still pretty young. How does it feel?

You're welcome! It absolutely is, and I can imagine. I am not sure if I have the time to drop by though, I'm catching up on some classes that I've missed out on, so I've been a bit busy recently.

I want to say it's not your style but it kinda is.

[ Her goddess is capable of being quiet and thoughtful but she's also an avalanche of energy once she starts doing something. ]

First one, huh? Heh, I keep forgetting you're like a baby god.

[She can't really bring herself to argue against that - keeping up with your studies is important...!]

Honestly, the offer will probably stay open as long as the tree is in bloom... [It wouldn't be like her to turn away a guest, after all.] But just as long as you make sure to keep up on your work, first!

[It's a light-hearted comment, a serious scolding over work coming from someone so young would probably not hold much weight in the first place. She smiles, laughing lightly, before continuing.]

Mmm, there is at least one other god around younger than I am. [The comment is made, and she looks awfully pensive for a short moment, before perking back up a bit.]

A lot has happened since I came here, so even just by that I feel like I've experienced enough to level up! [She laughs a bit.] Either way, it's hard not to feel a little older when there's a party to look forward to and mark that kind of milestone.

If you decide to pick out a birthday, I'll have a hard time not putting the same kind of enthusiasm into making it special. [A warning? An incentive? ~Who knows~]

Haha, that's one way of putting it. [No matter how you slice it, Yuna is a Young God.] At least that seems to be the majority around here, though. That makes it feel a little less daunting, knowing that there are a lot of people in the same situation.

That's true! And you get people talking about how far you've come.

Hey, by any chance is that other god Nanako?

Still beats the heck out of being one of those stuffy fossils.

[ Yeah, Mordred has a very low opinion of the Old Gods.

She gives Yuna a curious smile when she mentions having her own birthday party. Unlike Yuna, she's technically dead so can she still have a birthday? ]

You want me to pick out a birthday? I'm pretty sure dead folks don't have those.

[Yuna, meanwhile, has... delicate feelings on the old gods. She hasn't met them face-to-face, and far be it from her to not give them the benefit of the doubt, but given everything that's happened and her own experiences with gods in her own world, her judgement remains reserved.

But, regardless, not the time to be thinking of those things.]

You were still born at some point. [Probably.] But more than that, it's a day set aside to celebrate you. I'm sure your friends would be delighted to have a party for you if you wanted one.

A day to celebrate me? Then my birthday should be every day, don't you think?

[ She's half serious. High opinion of herself this one.

More importantly, Yuna is right— she does have friends. ]

Well, I can't deny that it might be fun to have a birthday... But throwing a party like this seems like a lot of work. I'd be doing all the work so my guests are treated to something special rather than myself.

[ At least that's the impression she's gotten from the preparations they've made for Yuna's birthday party. ]

[ Technically he's teaching, not learning. But he's picking up on new slang from time to time. ]

That's very nice of you. I'll make sure to ask in advance, if the chance appears. And I hope that you have a nice birthday.

[She couldn't have expected anything less than a reply like that. Still, if that's how Mordred sees the preparations Yuna's making, then that won't do at all...!]

I'm only doing this much myself because I like doing it. [Hosting parties, setting up things for other people to enjoy, even if she's using her birthday as an excuse to make extra sure she doesn't feel too lonely, she'd still probably be going all out under any other circumstances.] If it's a party for you, I'd be happy to take on as much work as I can to make sure you have an enjoyable day.

Exactly!

I do mean Nanako-chan, yes! [Her smile brightens a bit.] Have you met her before?

Yeah, I went to her temple and had some food. She's a nice girl. Cute as a button.

[ She's so small..]

I got the impression that she has lots of friends.

You really would, wouldn't you?

[ By now Mordred is quite familiar with Yuna's compassion and generosity, so she has no doubt that her goddess absolutely means what she says. ]

Well then, I suppose I'll have to figure out a good day to call my birthday.

[ She could just pick one blindly but well Yuna's made her think that perhaps it should hold some significance. ]

Maybe the day I died, eh?

[ Or rather, the day she woke up here. A lot of weird stuff happened that day but good things too— like meeting Yuna. ]

[Not that she'd argue with a random date too much, it's not as if anyone gets to choose when their born in the first place. A flippant choice might be a little impersonal, but not objectionable. Still, finding a day to add additional significance to, a day worth celebrating in the first place, is a wise way to go about it.

The phrasing of it takes her by surprise, though. It only lasts for a short moment, and soon enough the merit in a day like that becomes clear.]

That's a day when you started up a new life. [A rebirth in death, in a way. She smiles as she warms up to the idea.] I like it! An October birthday, then? I feel like that suits you. [Red and golds, fitting for the changing leaves as well as her partner. That would work out well...!]

She is a very nice girl, I can see why she's well liked. It's good to know she has a lot of people supporting her, isn't it?

[Considering just how young she is, after all.]

Of course. I should go see her more often, actually.

[Ren doesn't think he's that close to her. It's something he should change.]

How long have you known Nanako?

Not terribly long, I only just met her at that party she threw to celebrate moving into her new temple.

She's been here for a long time, from what I understand, though! And it seems like she's made a lot of good friends.

You're like me then. Maybe we could go see her together some time.

That is, assuming either of us aren't busy. It looks like we might have to set aside our plans for later.

[Ren scratches his cheek, feeling silly.]

October? Ugh, that's so far away...

[ She wants a party now. Heck, she wants a party every week but that might get boring (and expensive) after a while. ]

I suppose birthdays are one of those "better if you wait for it" sort of things, huh?

I'd really like that! I bet Nanako-chan would, too.

[Sometimes priorities shift when such a delightful idea is brought up, no need to feel silly.]

If we can gather up some games and snacks, I bet it'd be a really fun surprise for her.

[She laughs.]

It's one of those things that's special because it happens only once a year. It's rare, so waiting for it is definitely worth it. [It's almost like facing an exciting challenge, throw Saber-san a good birthday to make up for all that waiting!] I'll make sure it'd good enough to last you until the next one!

Is that so?

[ Not gonna lie, that's kind of exciting. ]

I'll hold you to that. But if you fail to impress then you'll owe me a second birthday present.

[That's hardly a steep price, but Yuna is psyched regardless!]
