[Joss turns on his own camera. He's just sitting at his desk in his room at Hakkai's temple, a pile of books at his elbow.]

It does. I don't know that it feels any different, necessarily, but I prefer it. As an...insurance measure, if nothing else.

Like if something bad happened you could go somewhere else?

[Romeo sort of understood that. He pauses a moment, to remember which street to go down to get to mister Hakkai's temple.]

If you ever need anywhere to go you can come to Elfnein's temple. She won't mind at all!

Something like that. I have special dietary needs. Having two gods increases my chance of being fed. [Joscelin bites back a bitter laugh.]

I'm a growing boy, you know.

Thank you, Romeo. I appreciate that.

Well there's lots of food at our temple and Elfnein will let you eat as much as you want!

[He's almost there now, the video showing the area where Hakai's temple is situated.]

[Joscelin meets Romeo at the front door to the temple and leads him upstairs to his bedroom across from the pigsty that Chikusa shares with Ken. There's a paused video game on the small television and a stuffed black dog sitting on the duvet. Joss points to it.]

This is what Nari seems to have left me. It wasn't in my possession before.

[Romeo follows him up to his room and looks around it with interest, he's never been in anyone else's room before.

He went over to the dog to look at it closer.] Oh! It's like a doll but an animal. [Just in case Joss wasn't sure, but then again Joss knew a lot more things than Romeo!] Mister Adrien gave me one at Christmas time but mine is white and blue. Do you think mister Nari knew he was going away if he left it for you?

[Joscelin's bedroom is on the smaller side, but it's comfortably furnished and very, very clean. So clean it wouldn't be readily apparent that its primary occupant is a child if not for the stuffed dog on the bed and the various comics and video games interspersed with other, weightier books on the shelves.]

That...is the definition of a stuffed animal, yes.

[Oh Romeo. Never change. You're adorable just the way you are.]

He might have written something down just in case. Ayumu, my goddess from before, did that. She wrote a note asking Hakkai to look after me if something should happen to her, and then it did and I wound up living here. I wonder if your Elfnein has done the same for you.

[He already knew then! That was good! Romeo went over to look at the shelves. Some of those books were almost as big as he was! Had Joss read all of them! He had known his friend was smart but it seemed he was really clever indeed!

He was listening though, he hadn't thought of that. Of gods writing down things to help their shinki if they disappeared. At mention of Elfnein though Romeo shakes his head quickly.]

Elfnein won't disappear. [He sounds stubborn but there's a note of fear underneath it. Elfnein couldn't disappear! No one should disappear at all and Romeo didn't understand why it happened but the idea that Elfnein might one day vanish was too much for him to think about.]

[Romeo looks very troubled by what he's just said, so Joscelin backs down slightly.]

I'm sure she won't. I know that Ayumu didn't intend to disappear either. Still, she wrote a note, just to be sure that if anything should happen those in her care would be looked after.

Maybe we should write notes then... [The idea of Elfnein disappearing was still terrifying. Romeo didn't want to disappear himself either but a note was a good idea. He would want to make sure Elfnein and all his friends were alright if he wasn't here any more.]
