( She bows her head in greeting and smiles shyly, trying to not look too nervous. You would think she'd be used to this sort of thing by now but she isn't. )

Sorry to ask such a strange question b-but uhm... is anyone interested in fortune telling? My temple has a large assortment of celestial charts and divining cards and... well, I've been wanting to practice. Hehe...

B-but it might be a little difficult to use those here so...! ( She looks down at her hands, ) I was thinking we could try something a little easier?

( And she holds up a paper fortune teller. The top folds have four pictures on them: A tiger, a tortoise, a bird, and a dragon. )

( ooc: It's implied that Sakura has some premonition skills because she's a priestess but she herself isn't aware of it and isn't able to tap into it actively! Sakura's paper fortune teller will be asking about some popular/general areas. You'll be prompted in a tag depending on what your character chooses and you can tell me if you they'll have good or bad luck in the future. It's a paper fortune teller! It's going to be general and vague so what are you really expecting??? You can also prompt Sakura to try using her charts/cards for something a little more in depth and we can work that out on plurk at eski or PM! Otherwise, she can totally just get things wrong... she's a teenaged girl having fun with horoscopes and fortune tellers.)

[While he doesn't believe in fortune telling, he have seen how much they can lift a person's mood. Or drag it down, in case of a bad reading. He could ask her over the network. Or he could just find her in person.

Yamanbagiri enters the room Sakura's in, carrying a tray of tea for two. Placing it on top of the table, he looks at her.]

How's the fortune telling going?

Yamanbagiri-san!

( She smiles when he comes and sets aside her fortune teller for now. It's getting a little worn from use but it's fine. )

Good, I think. It's... it's mostly just for fun, anyway. ( Though, she hopes everyone who received good luck finds it in the end. ) Thank you.

( For the tea. She'll even reach to drink some of it. When she lowers the cup, she gives Yamanbagiri a curious glance and ask, )

Uhm... would you like to try?

[He sits down and reach for his tea, sipping it.]

I'm sure everyone have fun as well. [He believes this, since Sakura is both kind and this is... very cute. It is cute. A moment later, he blinks.] Me?

[He haven't thought of asking her, but some things he's wondering about comes to his mind.]

... I don't mind.

( Reaching for the charts, she spreads them out on the floor in front of them. She searches for one in particular and sets it on top. Quietly, she explains, )

Usually... you need your birthday to do these. ( She looks up at Yamanbagiri, ) But you don't remember your birthday, do you?

( She won't linger on that question, even if she'd like to hear his answer properly. She doesn't want to trigger any sort of thoughts about his past so she moves on, )

So I thought... maybe.... This would be a good day for you.

( She points to the title on the chart. "August." )

The 25th. That is i-if it's okay with you. ( She looks down at her hands, ) It's the day we met.

[He slowly shake his head. No, he haven't remember his birthday. Yet? It's fortunate for him that he never really thought about it.

He looks down at the charts, and see the date. His eyes widen for a moment. While a lot of things happened, the date is one of the things he start to track.]

The 25th... I remember waiting and wondering what kind of person you might be.

[He murmurs, as his earliest memories (as a shinki) resurface in his mind. He remembers the confusion, the anticipation and being anxious to meet his god. He looks up to meet Sakura's eyes and nods, smiling a little.]

... Yeah, it's fine with me. That's... a very important day for me.

( "I remember thinking what kind of person you might be..."

Her eyes widen at that, catching her by surprise and making her face glow a shade of pink from embarrassment. She'd always wondered what it was like for the shinki to arrive so suddenly without any memories and little direction to go in. She remembers her own first day but at least she'd had her memories with her to give her strength. )

Y-yes.... ( Looking down at her charts. What had he thought about she'd be like? She wonders if she's held up to his hopes and expectations but it feels selfish to ask so she keeps that question to herself. ) It's a special day for me too.

( Because they met, after all. )

August 25th is... the rooster. It's hard to be exact since we don't know everything but... if that's okay with you, I-I'll try my best.

[Even now, Yamanbagiri still believe he's fortunate to have a good god like Sakura. He might have any other god, someone with a wild temperament or difficult personality.

So he feels... almost blessed, the longer he spend time with Sakura and work with her.]

August 25th. [He repeats it. He knows the date, but more importantly, it's to burn it into his mind about how important it is.] Rooster...

[He thinks of majestic looking birds, with beautiful plumage. Do such birds fit him?]
