[BBS- Video] A Question

[Romeo is learning more and more every day and how to use his phone is one of those things. He had found his way onto the BBS and though many of the things on it were full of more words than he could read there were some videos and he soon got the hang of it. It was a place to ask questions to lots of people, to make sure you got lots of answers!

And Romeo had questions. The camera angle is odd and the video shaky but Romeo is sat in his room crossed legged.]

Hello! I'm Romeo. Um I got some questions that I've been thinking about for a while. [Over a week! That was a very long time to have such questions inside you!]

When I was helping after the volcano exploded I met a little boy who was a god but he was all confused and didn't know about people coming from different worlds or anything. He said he was born a god in this world and...

[That's not actually the bit he has questions about, he looked serious for a moment, this has been worrying him a lot.] He said the heavens were cruel that if gods broked the rules they get killed and get brought back as baby gods who don't know nothing so they can be told whatever the heavens want them to know! He said that they didn't care about what happened to anybody, not gods or shinki or even humans and they just cared about keeping power.

But everyone has been really nice and the heavens seems like a good place, it's s'posed to be a good place but he seemed really sure that it was actually cruel and bad!

[He doesn't want to think that his new friend was lying, but he also doesn't want him to be right. He doesn't want this to be a bad place with mean bosses who kill gods who don't follow the rules! Romeo doesn't know what the rules are! What if his friends get killed and brought back as baby gods because they accidentally break one!]

Yes... I want it to be good because I have lots of friends here but that boy said it was cruel. [It is a lot to think about!]

Well... Maybe it's been cruel t'him. I don't really know.

[Damn, this is a complicated topic even for an adult. Goku understands it, but putting it into words is difficult. He's always had trouble getting his thoughts in order.]

I think people get hurt here. [Reassuring.] But they have fun and do nice things too. Like... You got scared for a little while the other day, right? But when we first met, we had a fun time eating barbecue, didn't we? Both those things happened in the same place.

[He thought about that and nodded slowly. Goku was right. It had been really scary being chased by fire wolves on the volcano but he had had lots of fun with Goku before that eating barbecue and he had lots of good friends here even if scary things happened sometimes.

So it could be a bad place and a good place all at the same time...] But it's not nice for people to get hurt at all.

Mm, it's not... But I don't think there's any place where that doesn't happen at all. I've been hurt in all kindsa places.

[By all kinds of people in all kinds of ways! Life is suffering, Romeo.]

But I've had fun in all kindsa places too! And I try t'make sure people don't get hurt, if I can help it. [Unless he doesn't like them, in which case he's doing the hurting.] I think it's the same for most people. Bad things happen but good things happen too. Ya just do your best to make sure good things happen and deal with the bad things when they happen!

I think a place can be good and still have problems with it. And if there are problems, people can work together to fix things.

I do. It'll take a lot of time and work, but things can change.

Did he say anything about where he was from? Or where he heard the things from?

He said he was from this world and he had been born a god. He didn't know that some gods were from other worlds and he sounded shocked and he said his friends had told him about the heavens even though he first said he was new and hadn't made any friends yet!

[He's glad things can change, even if it will be hard work!]

It's hard for a kid to understand, though. It's the sorta thing we adults tell you to let us worry about.

I do worry about it because I don't want my friends to live in a bad place!

It's easy to think the world is a bad place when things are going badly for you and to think it's a good place when luck is on your side.

All that really changes is your state of mind, you know? And whether the deck is stacked for you or against you.

So things were being bad for him and he was upset so he thought the heavens were a bad place? [And Romeo had met lots of good friends here so he thought it was a good place.]

I wish we could help make it a good place for him...

That guy didn't want to change anything or make anything better. He wants people to hurt. I told him a way we could change things for the better, and he just laughed. He's got his own view on things, and when someone's that determined to hurt someone else, they can see a molehill as a real mountain.

This place is far from perfect, but that guy's worse.

[What? How? He was only a kid! Elfnein had said volcanoes were a natural disaster! Not that kid gods could make them explode!]

You know, just because someone told you something doesn't mean it's true.

So you think he was lying? [He had sounded so sure though...]

Um... His name was Sotero and he was on the volcano and he was a god but he had been born in this world and he was only ten but really didn't like Amaterasu and didn't want to go to the training days and meet everyone.

He could be lying, or he could be wrong.

Even if he's right, it doesn't have to mean the Heavens are cruel, does it? On earth, if someone does something bad enough, they can be sentenced to death too.

I guess so... [He thought about that for a moment.] If someone kills someone or steals from someone important... But he just said if they broke the rules and I don't know what the rules in the heaven are and if they are the same as on earth and I don't even know if the rules of this earth are the same as my earth and I don't even really know all of those because I forgot loads of stuff!

[It's all very confusing and worrying!]

Oh no! I hope he's okay. A world can be both at the same time, I've seen it. It's very sad. I hope you're okay too. Hopefully it's just a few gods that are like that! I don't care about power at all, I just want everyone to be as well as possible.

He said the queen of the heavens was bad and he didn't like her. I never met her but it is really sad if she is cruel and bad and if gods get killed for breaking the rules. All the gods I met are really nice!

Is it possible that she's nice to some and mean to others for different reasons? No reason is good to be mean to people but maybe knowing why could help us stop it. And I don't want to be killed either, dying is scary and painful!

I've never even seen her! But she might be nice to people she likes and then mean to everyone else.

[He doesn't want anyone to die. He knows he is dead but can't remember dying. Its scary when people died though. And sad.] I want to stop it too!
