Yo. Took long enough, huh? Nearly two months if you count it one way, month and a half the other way.

Anyway I'm over at my temple if you were looking for me that whole time. Sorry to keep you waiting. That's all I wanted to say.

If I did, I don't remember a recent death. Just the one that brought me here in the first place and the business in Add's temple. The recent stuff was something to do with a forest.

I met up with Caster and we both confronted him in the center of his temple when he was trying to do... whatever his powers had done to create those powerful ayakashi. Anyway, a group came with him, including a young woman. He tried to kill the young woman.

[ And he doesn't need to explain how his death happened after that, right? Even if both he and Caster acted at the exact same time. ]

[He doesn't need to explain; Hakkai can extrapolate. So Dokugakuji had taken a bullet -- or whatever magical equivalent Add had been using -- for her, then.

He wonders who she had been, and whether she had survived.]

I see. My condolences.

I'm not convinced he created those, by the way. Some of them were very similar to a sort of ayakashi another god created months ago.

Yeah, Shinji's a good kid. Earnest but quiet, for a teen.

And of course he understands what comes with the territory of losing your memories, like all shinki, but he's old enough to actually get it, unlike my past kids.

You have had quite a few young shinki assigned to you. My condolences. That can be challenging.
