So it's a little unfair that all of these clothes sold in the human world don't have space for tails

I know humans don't have tails but what about those of us that do

It rubs against my tail if I wear pants beneath it and I'm not going to cram my tail in a pair of pants and I'm not going to cut a ragged hole in the fabric either because threading a tail as fluffy and well-brushed as mine through a hole like that just isn't going to work

Does anyone else here have a tail and if so how do you wear human clothes??

I don't have a tail, but I do design clothing. I'd be happy to custom tailor some pants for you that would be more accommodating.

but i have a feeling were probably talking about different kinds of tails here

still not wearing pants is totally an option

I tried just going without pants but when I managed to get the attention of some humans they just screamed and called the police

I mean they couldn't remember why they did once the police officer got there but no pants still sounds like a bad idea

What kind of tail do you have?

yeah humans are weird like that
making all that fuss about to pants or not to pants
i make most humans scream when i catch their attention though anyway so i guess i have an advantage there

do you know what a mermaid is
if you do just picture something like that except instead of a fish tail it's a weird long ghostly deal
i didnt sign up for the legs package with my tail in other words

I never considered how difficult it might be to have a tail. Can you wear the pants a little beneath it, or?

I mean the clothes I was wearing when I woke up here were modified so wherever I'm from I guess we wear clothes more often than foxes that can't talk

If I wear something like that my tail is just going to wiggle all over the place

It needs to be free you can't contain this beautiful fur

if you wave it around too much wont it hit stuff and get in the way anyway

I'm sorry, I don't have a tail either, but... well, if you don't want to shove the tail through a hole, why don't you just cut a rip instead? Then you could attach a button to the flaps and button it up once you have the tail in place!

I mean, I could, but I'm just no good with stuff like that. I tried, but I don't think my fingers are really cut out for fine work like sewing. I kept dropping the needle, and the thread was getting all tangled.

I work hard on making my fur soft and glossy so I want it to show

Asking a tailor to cut a slit in it might raise some eyebrows. Have you got any skill with a needle and thread?

My steward back home simply wore his pants low enough that it didn't interfere with his tail. Never seemed to bother him and he took care of himself quite well.

...Perhaps some kind of lining you could sew along the waistline to make them rub less uncomfortably?

Something very soft or smooth might work though

I wonder if silk would be good or if it would still rub the fur off

Humans, always picky. They never make anything simple.

I cannot say for certain about silk, but I would venture to guess it might be your best choice. Unless some sort of fur would work too. Not having had to care for it myself makes it tougher to guess.

Back home, those who had tails had two halves of a ring sewn into the top of their trousers, with a button above. I believe the idea was to let the tail rest in the ring naturally and then a button above the ring halves pulled them together without having to try and thread their tail through. It worked well for those with smooth and fluffy tails, and seemed relatively easy to implement for tailors.

The ones I came here wearing have a button but there isn't a ring it's just hemmed fabric

A ring would wear less on my fur than fabric would too!
