The first one was only around for about a week. But she was nice. And I think I was actually getting along with Ciel.

I have no lack of space, time or good will, should you wish to take advantage of any of those things. I have no shinki of my own, after all.

And he can't help but see an opportunity in the whole 'no shinki' thing. Because he knows how rough it is for a shinki to be between gods. He's not looking forward to it.]

No shinki, huh? I, uh, don't suppose you're hiring?

[It's a long shot, since probably most gods wouldn't want to take in a shinki they barely know, but can you blame him for trying?]

I am, should you be interested. I know it is difficult when you lose the master you have been serving and I certainly wouldn't press a shinki into service who was not certain if it was what they wanted. I have, after all, been told I'm quite easy to get along with but very difficult to keep in line.

If you need a place to stay, you're welcome to stay at the Shinki Sanctuary. Depending on what type of pets you'd be bringing, they might not be able to stay with you. There's a lot of chickens, you see. But if you can't find anyone available and prefer not to rush into a commitment to a new god too soon, I'd be happy to look after your animals for you in the meantime.

[Sanzang likes animals. Surely she wouldn't mind if they petsit for somebody for a couple of days.]

That would be really cool. Fang would probably chase the chickens but I could keep him locked up for a couple days.

[He hates to do that though. Poor guy needs to stretch his legs. But he also can't be like, 'cool can you watch my behemoth?']

But Sheldon is almost like a chicken. I bet he'd love to make some new friends.

If you'd like, I could meet with you and your animals and we can discuss arrangements. The Shinki Sanctuary has resources to assist you for this exact situation.

[It's why she came up with the idea in the first place and why she teamed up with Wendy to make it happen. Every shinki's best interests and autonomy deserves to be protected.]

I asked my goddess and she said she doesn't mind if we look after Fang for you until you find a new god. We love animals. It's not a problem at all.

[Ayumu's just thinking of a big mastiff like Bon but Sanzang's so laidback, a behemoth wouldn't put her off in the least.]

Your god disappeared? [He doesn't sound surprised, he's been warned by many people that this is something that happens all the time. He does look concerned though.]

When I first arrived I was told that there was a homeless Shinki centre. I don't know where it is. But the person who told me about it was called Adrien so they might know.

It does happen a lot, sometimes too much. That doesn't make it less sad, though.
