[Tsuzuki grins at him, propping his own elbows on the bar and sweeping his sake glass into his hands before the bartender can try to clear it away with the empty cocktail.]

Hmm... with just two people it's tough to think of a good one. How about, we ask each other questions, and you've got to answer or drink?

That's perfect! Not only will we have fun, but we can bond.

[Jae-Ha... He follows suit and keeps his own glass in his hand, humming thoughtfully.]

I've said so much about myself already, so I'll go first. Tell me your favorite thing about being a god!

[Tsuzuki brightens immediately.]

There's a lot of things I like about it! But my favorite is not having anybody pick my jobs for me anymore.

Mostly.

[He can choose the prayers he's going to answer! He can pick people who want things he's happy to make sure happen for them. He doesn't have to go and drag unwilling humans down to death any more.]

So you were under someone else's command, back where you come from? How interesting!

[That's a nice thing to like, especially in Jae-Ha's eyes. Freedom is beauty, after all!]

It's your turn, my friend.

Yeah, we had to follow orders... um!

[He can't ask about Jae-Ha's past, so -- oh hey, he thinks, and grins.]

Okay, are you really asking people to get drinks with you because you want a date?

[What a forward question! He chuckles at that, swirling the sake a bit in his glass thoughtfully. To be honest, he is lonely, and he does crave the attention of people around him. He wants people to accept him, to like him, to spend time with him... So, in a way...

But, he pointedly takes a slow sip of his sake.]

For the record, I usually would like to be surrounded by cute girls. [But he still didn't answer, so he drank. See? Fine.]

[Pointing. Accusingly. But despite that, he doesn't actually seem too annoyed, and he breaks into a smile as he reaches for his glass, too. It's been a few minutes, he could use a sip!]

But you'll take what you can get, huh?

-- Anyway, your turn!

Ah ha ha! Don't look at me so accusingly, Tsuzuki. They say jealousy is ugly.

[He's playful about all of this, of course, smoothing a finger around the lip of his glass as he thinks.]

Hmm... And your least favorite thing about being a god, then?

So's asking out all of Heaven at the same time.

[He looks back at his drink, shoulders slumping as he considers that question, and then -- even though he's answering -- he downs something much larger than a swig before glancing back at Jae-Ha.]

Gods... still can't save everybody. I mean, there's all the weird stuff about us appearing like this, too!

[He chuckles lightly at the Heaven comment before growing silent as he watches him take that swig. What a pure answer. It's as he expected, but it's nice to see it confirmed right before him. He reaches over and rests his free hand on Tsuzuki's shoulder in an attempt at comfort.]

They may call you a god, but you can't be responsible for everyone.

[Tsuzuki gives Jae-Ha a wry half-smile before propping his chin on his hand.]

Sometimes I feel like I can't save anyone.

... Anyway, uh. What's your favorite thing about being here?

[He notices that, certainly. He doesn't know the man enough to offer any comforting words, but it makes him sad to hear such a thing. He'll have to pocket that information for later, and bug him even more. A good plan.

As for that question, his answer is instant.]

[Tsuzuki relaxes into a real smile.]

Yeah -- there's a lot of nice people here. Hey, who've you been hanging out with so far?

Not that I'm jealous! Just wondering who you know. Outside of your god and that other guy with the hand.

His name is Kija.

[He doesn't want him to get sensitive about the hand, you see. But he chuckles lightly at the jealousy reassurance and thinks.]

That's been my main problem and the reason for my request today. There were a few I met in the school, but I wasn't in the best of moods then. I spent most of that time running from Kija. I nearly ran away entirely! There are a few faces and names I remember, but I haven't been able to really spend time with them.

Kija! Yeah, sorry. [Tsuzuki rubs a hand over the back of his neck, grinning sheepishly.]

It could be nice to take some time, just get to know us all... everybody needs friends, right?

That's what I'm looking to do! Is there a faster way than this "internet" I used?

[He's tried wandering around, as usual... He jumps pretty far quickly, so speed isn't a problem, but there are so many who don't see him.]

That's probably the best way to find gods and shinki. Otherwise, you can hang out at any of the Heavens' parties.

[He trails off thoughtfully. Those are sometimes more dangerous than the Near Shore. Should he warn Jae-Ha? Well -- they're not necessarily bad...]

Or go visit them! There's temples all over the Far Shore you can visit.

The Heavens' parties? This is the first time I've heard of anything like that.

[Jae-Ha tends to find danger on his own, anyway, so this is fine! Probably.]

I wasn't sure if it would be socially acceptable to go temple to temple.

Yeah, they have them every two or three weeks! They're pretty nice. Great buffets. Just, uh... be careful, don't eat anything they tell you not to, okay?

[Not that he did this himself. Definitely not, at all. He clears his throat and reaches for his drink.]

I never mind! I mean, don't just walk in, people live there. You could knock though.

Why set out food that shouldn't be eaten? Do they poison it?

[This warning probably won't actually stop Jae-Ha from when it happens, but it's a nice effort.]

But worry not! I always knock like a gentleman. I'll take a stroll sometime.

Well... sort of. They gave us chocolates to give out to humans around White Day, and told us not to eat any. Turns out they were somehow full of ayakashi that escaped when they were eaten.

[That comment needs a drink to go with it.]

Ah. Someone did mention that, back at the school...

[He doesn't feel very good about things when he hears about stuff like this!! He takes another drink himself.] I hope that's not a common thing.

Uh uh, just once. I think... [He scowled at his glass, the level of which is rapidly sinking.] I think somebody was trying to turn us against Amaterasu.

It's the only thing that makes sense.

Rather than Amaterasu actually being at fault, you mean?

[A different side of the story! He'll listen to both, of course.]

Yeah. If she was doing it on purpose, why use chocolates that she obviously gave to us? Why put her name on it? It was just gonna tick everybody off.

[He shakes his head.]

Besides, from what she said, it was her advisers and shinki that did all the handling of the chocolate. She wouldn't tell anybody exactly who, but ... I think she's got a traitor somewhere in there. Someone trying to cause her problems with us.
