Distance isn't an issue. I can be there in a moment, so either you choose the one closest to yourself, or we can go to that one on the far left.

['In a moment', huh. Speed, teleportation-- something else? Who knows, but whatever the reason for that answer, Chuuya's interest is definitely piqued now. This might be worth it for more than just the alcohol.]

That one's fine with me. Go ahead and save me a spot, would you? It's not gonna take me long, but definitely more than a moment.

Will do. I'll be the beautiful man with the long green hair. Jae-Ha, if you haven't caught that much. Meet you there.

[That's right, Chuuya, dig him. But alright, off he goes! He's there in a moment, like he said, and he'll reserve two stools just for them. He's already ordered sake to start them both off, it seems.]

[He sounds difficult to miss, with that description (though Chuuya's reserving judgment on the 'beautiful' part), so he doesn't bother responding again, setting out instead. Being able to lighten gravity's pull on himself makes it easier to move quickly, but Jae-Ha will still be waiting for several minutes before Chuuya hops up onto the stool next to him, flashing him a grin.]

You really weren't kidding about being fast, huh? I'd have been awfully disappointed if you turned out to be all talk.

[He holds one gloved hand out to Jae-Ha, the other taking up his drink.]

Nakahara Chuuya. Pleasure to meet you.

The pleasure is mine.

[He takes that hand in a loose shake, his other one lifting his own cup of sake to his lips with a smile as he looks this stranger over.]

My, you're a beautiful man, after all. I suppose both of us were expecting to be disappointed only to end up pleasantly surprised. I hope you like sake.

What, you expected less of me? I should probably take some offense to that, you know.

[But there's still a faint smirk on his face as he raises a brow, taking a short drink before he lets out an approving little hum.]

Having decent taste makes up for it, though. I might not let it slide so easily if you were the beer type.

Oh, so you do like it. Good.

[Jae-Ha smiles as he takes a long sip himself, humming over the cup.] I didn't mean to offend. You never know who you might meet when all you have is text on a screen.

That's part of what makes it interesting though, right?

[He shifts to face Jae-Ha a little more, elbow propped on top of the bar.]

You don't know who you're dealing with, but then neither do they. Play it right and you could be whoever you want.

[He gestures with his drink at Chuuya in something almost like a long distance toast before he sips some more. Ah, yes, he's sure he liked this back in his previous life, as well! It was calling to him for a reason, he knew it.]

[Chuuya takes another, longer drink, looking down into the cup for a few moments afterward before glancing back up to Jae-Ha.]

That's a pretty loaded thing to ask, you know, considering half of us apparently don't know shit about ourselves.

I have no memories, but I've never lost sight of who I am.

[He looks to Chuuya at this, curious.] It bothers you, I assume.

It's just that I thought the whole thing would be easier to deal with, I guess.

[He hums under his breath as he thinks, fingers tapping on the bartop while he takes another drink. It should be easy to just fill the role he's been given, and in some ways has been, but-]

Kinda hard to do what I'm meant to if the idiot I'm stuck with won't do his job.

Hmm... Your god won't cooperate? [Is that it?] How could that be? I thought they'd be more understanding, considering they end up with all of their memories. Or is he just lazy?

Just lazy?

[Chuuya scoffs at that, shaking his head.]

Lazy's only the start of it, trust me, but I'm not nearly far enough into this- [He raises his glass slightly, there.] -to give you the full list. Pisses me off just thinking about it, you know?

[Speaking of not having drunk enough, he's just going to drain a little more of his drink before he looks back up to Jae-Ha.]

So, what type did you end up with.

[Ah... Chuuya. He pities you. He feels this, he does! But he still only smiles warmly with his chin in his hand as he answers brightly.]

A cute girl. She's outstanding, really. I didn't think a girl so young could be so tough. But she still gives off the feeling that you need to protect her, you know? She's sweet.

Sweet, huh. I guess that works for some kinds of gods.

[His tone's dry, not exactly impressed, but after a moment he waves a hand and adds-]

Not really the type I think I'd want to work with, but it sounds like she's got her good points. Besides-- your judgment seems alright so far.
