Hi everyone, Kairi here - I woke up with another memory yesterday and I guess it's got me thinking. For one thing, I wonder how many shinki have remembered more than one part of their life now. I knew some shinki that did, except... they aren't here anymore. Maybe I'm worrying over that part for nothing.

The real reason it got me thinking was that I promised a few people I would be available to practice shinki spells with them and so I wanted to reiterate that promise. I'm available today and tomorrow, no problem. I'm really sad that Izuku can't update the shinki information pamphlets anymore - has anyone else decided to keep up that work for him? One of his other friends, maybe? I would hate to step on toes if someone was already thinking about it.

Also, if you think you know some spells I don't... [She's looking at you, Chikusa.] ... I'd appreciate learning them since I'm still not sure how to find things in that messy library. I've mastered Bind, Silence, Truth, and Umbra.

Lastly... has anyone else noticed strange things happening around the Soulless Shinki temple? I'm trying to keep tabs on them and getting their current names with descriptions to start, in case ayakashi attack them again.

What's Umbra?

Me and Ken... remembered everything about each other. But only things with both of us involved.

Hi there, Chikusa - Hakkai said I should talk to you about this stuff, since you're being so diligent looking through the library for new spells!

I guess that's a good point, though. I probably won't disappear if you two have remembered so much already.

Mmm.... And there's an older shinki I've found who knows more.... so I'm trying to get more out of him. So, Umbra...?

[Seriously, Kairi, don't withhold things from the nerd.]

And yeah.... As far as I can tell, whatever takes people away... is arbitrary. There are plenty of shinki who've disappeared without remembering things, right...? And that doesn't explain gods....

Oooh interesting! Whose temple does he stay at? Can I meet him if I teach you Umbra? It's a spell that helps you hide in plain sight.

[There.]

Mmm, yeah, that's true. I just got a little spooked again, I guess. I haven't remembered too much. You and Ken are lucky in that way, I think, especially to have each other.

...I think... he's one of Amaterasu's....

[Chikusa continues to not ask. However, at the mention of him and Ken, he ducks his head just a little, chin tucked against his chest.]

...We're... probably meant to be together no matter what... so....

Oh wow, you met someone like that! Well, maybe Ama-chan will let me meet him too... how cool...

[But she smiles back at him for the other comment.]

Do you think about getting more powerful for his sake, then?

He made those dummies move.

[So Chikusa figures he's not too hard to find. Then again, maybe he's just trying to avoid her question a little, studiously avoiding eye contact.]

....Ken is dumb... and he's still not good at borderlines. So... Since I can do this much, for once...

That's great that you remember things! [Have a bright smile because he's happy for her.]

Actually, I met one of Hakkai's that has memories and he's still here so I'm sure you're worrying over nothing. You'll be fine. I'm sure of it.[Then he shrugs.] I don't know anything about Soulless Shinki. I've only met a couple and I don't know about anything strange going on.

I'd be more than happy to join in on the jogging. When in the morning to you guys go?

[If he's calling his friend dumb, she's going to assume it's like Sora saying Riku is dumb.]

Want me to try? Helping him learn Borderlines better, I mean. You could bring him with you if you want to learn Umbra.

[At least that has Chikusa glance up, a little interested.]

Ah, would that be Chikusa? Or maybe Ken or Ayumu?

[She knows all of them except Asshole. And even then good luck getting her to call him by that name.]

That's okay if you haven't seen anything weird going on with the Soulless Shinki, though! They deserve some peace and quiet since I've seen ayakashi trying to attack them lately.

Right now since it's just Hajime and I, we go whenever we finish breakfast. We could try to do a set time though!

Ken. We talked about it when we all had dinner together.

[He nods.] I've only met two of them but they were assigned to gods. Wouldn't that keep them safe from the ayakashi?

If you just sent me a text the next time you guys head out I can meet you some place and join in. I get kind of restless.

[Like he's not used to have idle time or being still.]

Well we haven't talked much yet, Ken and I, but that's all I'm saying is I could try! Maybe your way is just different enough from mine that mine will work better.

Oh that's cool.

And yeah when they're assigned to gods that's true, but when they get released they have to go back and stay at the Soulless Shinki temple here in the Far Shore. That's where I saw the ayakashi - it's really unusual!

[Then she nods.] We'll definitely send you a text then! See if there's a good time for all of us in the mornings.

...He prefers being physical with things. Borderlines.... aren't satisfying, he says.

What's it like remembering things about yourself?

Yeah they invited us all over. It was nice.

Oh. And they get released when people get normal Shinki like us, right? Why don't people just keep them? That would make more sense to me. [That makes him frown a bit.] Really? That close to the temple?

I'd like that. I'm sure we can make it work.

At least for me, it happened while I was asleep... so kind of like a dream? And then things played out kind of like a first-person movie. I couldn't control what was happening as my body moved, but I felt it all.

Hmm... maybe if he got to touch Borderlines instead? Something to give him a physical sense of it.

He's already touched a borderline before.

I don't know who 'us all' are, since I didn't get invited...

[It doesn't REALLY surprise her since she and Chikusa are on kinda strange terms.]

Mmm, not necessarily. I think it depends on what the god wants to do. When I lived in the joint temple with Sora and Roxas, Roxas took on a Soulless Shinki after he already had the three of us as shinki - Senri, Raichi, and I. I called her Joy and she lives with Hajime and I now.

Oh... Oh no! Of course he did...

[She giggles a little.]

How about Dagger-style, did he try that?

He's gotten the hang of that a little better, I think... but only to hit smaller ayakashi.

And you remembered everything when you woke up? Any physical changes?

Not at all, Ginia! That's why I let my name be on the shinki information pamphlets, after all. I know how it felt to be new too!

Anyway, no physical changes that I could see. It wasn't like I remembered any cool new powers - if anything, it sounds like a bad guy was trying to use me to do something strange. So if I have any abilities at all, I'm still not sure what they'd be. I only remembered a few minutes -- some talking between about five people and myself. I don't know all of their names, only two in fact, because I met them here in the Far Shore first and recognized them again in my memory.
